Whats going wrong in Hull .Apart from west hull the other NCL clubs seem to be really struggling, east's looked poor against wath brow yesterday and there was rumours going around after the match yesterday that dockers couldn't put 13 players on the pitch against st pats.

the game is dying in hull. there isn't much young blood coming through. when young players go to scholarship they lose interest when let go by the pros and don't carry on playing.

west hull get players because they are a decent club that pay. there is a big drinking (and drug) culture in hull, and this is seen as a priority over playing.

Things do not look good for hull amateur rl

There's plenty of kids playing on a Sunday all over Hull, with a lot of quality I might add. Players have always gone to both the Hull clubs when they're young, and yes some of them do pack it in, but it's no different now than it ever was. As far as the drinking and drugs culture in Hull you're on about, there's probably less now than there has been for years. I don't want to start another discussion about it, but having spoken to a few committee members of one or two clubs in Hull, it seems the problem might be summer as opposed to winter.

This year the registrations have been the lowest for 28 years for the mini and junior teams, this has happened since the switch to summer see today's RL express for a statement from the chairman of the Youth league. This can only have an effect on player availability and quality hense the demise, West Hull have been the best at taking players as well getting players to go back to them and one of the only clubs with all age groups as well as a team in the H&D league as well as the Merit

Seen all the Hull Clubs this year

West is Best by a long way, Yes they are paying players EXPENCES only,    but strong rumours that they are now paying expense's to the Under18s  which will mean they will be strong for years to come or until Terry withdraws his support

East Hull  Not enough strength in depth when the Bully Boys are not available particually  at home they are poor

Hull Dockers  Having no A Team (Thought it was a NCL mandate that you had to run an A Team) they will struggle when injuries kick in

Skirlaugh  No go forward   Not since Ralph, Morrod, Kennedy Leighton have they had any forwards to break the line. They think they are better than they are

SAID IT BEFORE ON ANOTHER THREAD THAT ALL THREE TEAMS WILL GO DOWN

Myton  Struggling with losing a lot of experience but should just about stay up,   still poor though

I know it appears a post of doom & gloom in Hull but you have got to face facts there is not enough talent to spread around 5 teams

Its looking like amateur sport will have a major struggle to keep playing numbers at present/past levels .

Even football is losing players , 100,000 less playing the game on a regular basis than last year , not good .

Easts won't go down

You still sure East's won't go down, got beat at home today by a team who they should be taking 2 points off

West's went to Cumbria and came back with the 2 points

Yesterdays game at Wath Brow was played in good spirit by two very well matched teams and imha could have gone either way, good attacking and defensive play throughout the game. Great atmosphere and hospitality and a great trip back home with the lads back on track after last week's setback with another 2 points.

To be honest I not sure unless the lads start showing some more commitment to the cause we could be in big trouble I take my foot out my mouth and say we are gunna struggle this season

But it is a long season lets hope we can turn it around.

Couple more big leaders back for us in cup this week

I can't see easts surviving rollman think you've won one game in about 13-14 games from last season too thats a bad run, be interesting who the leaders are who are coming back
