Surprisingly few problems today against a rather timid and out-of-sorts Workington. We got on top early and kept the scoreboard ticking over nicely in the first 40. Only around the hour mark, when March and Oakes went off for a breather, did we lose our grip for a while, and at 19-10 it looked slightly dodgy for a few minutes, but Marchy back on and playing like a kid at stand-off set up the try that saw us home.

Again some quality tries and well drilled defence, with Broughton and Maun sharing the limelight alongside Marchy.

So Wigan away then. Last time I went to see Hunslet at Wigan we won. Mind you it was 1985 ;) .

Should be a cracking day out for everyone connected with the club and I hope club and supporters come together to ensure we take as many as we possibly can. Well done Hunslet !!

Very well done Hunslet, now go and reap the reward at Wigan, hopefully it will put a few quid in the coffers for the club. I fancy getting St. Helens in the quarter finals!

Tremendous display today, a perfect 1st half to go in 17-0 up at the break,  Worky come back in the 2nd half and for a few mins at 19-10 it looked a little hairy but Marchy came back on to rally the troups and seal a comfortable win, hard to pick a mom everyone played their part, nice to see Danny Maun get a hat trick, Lewis Reed took it up really well as did Brooke Broughton.Marchy though for me in his 100th game deserved it for steadying the ship.

Congratulations on the win, sounds like your team wanted it more. Belting draw too, nice pay day for the club and a good day out for the fans. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Great performance today by the lads from 1-17 thought Kain cleaned up everything up at the back and akidare gets through plenty of work.

The forwards smashed workingtons bigger pack!

Bloody hell kol have you been drinking before the game maun only got two and it was marchys 101st game

It WAS Marchys 101 st game, and according to my notes and the PA Maun did score 3.

Similar game to last season when Workington did come back in the second half before we regained the lead. -- but-  Workington did have  Jamie Thackray playing for them, no such force yesterday. I'm told Jason Robinsons son was full back for them, and there was 2 or 3 D/R  in their team.

Good team performance from us, we are shaping into a good team with strength in depth.

I think Kain got the last try (from the kick through), though the PA gave it to Maun, be good to get clarification ...

Well done Hunslet. The only giant killing(!) act of the weekend.

Worky came back at us last week and scored two quick tries, before succumbing to more applied pressure giving us tries.

Now when you go to Wigan, do ensure that the players have the stamina to do eighty minutes; that was our undoing on Friday when we tired in the final twenty minutes. It is a fixture to enjoy.

Confirmation it was KAIN who scored not Maun--- so Maun only 2 tries.
