But we want to keep Clive as North Wales Crusaders coach. Not sure he'd be able to do both.

We don't play enough internationals to justify a full-time international coach.

What job satisfaction can you get from - what - half a dozen games tops a year ?

Fair point. Maybe Kieran Cunningham would be a decent choice.

He'd probably fill the team with past it Aussies

Don't every other nation though?

Maybe, but Wales actually have locals coming through.

That could be a good move for both parties, allowing Brian to progress his media career.

I'd also be happy with Jordan James or Barry Eaton.

Clive griffiths is only part time at the cru, works part time in union. Both jobs making him full time in league would be ideal

I think he's packed in his links to the union team to concentrate on North Wales Crusaders this season, I know he is no longer coaching Wales Students... who did particularly well under his tutelage.

I thought he'd not long signed a deal to stay Director of Rugby at Doncaster RU for another couple of seasons?

Briers I reckon, with Watson as assistant.

How muxh do you reckon the pay is? For 3-6 games a season?

I'm not privy that that kind of info but it's not going to be a lot!

I guess it will depend on how much the appointed person is getting for their main job and how much they want the experience of being the National Coach.

depends if wales would want training camps and for the coach to be involved with the juniors,

wales also need a second team.....

Pay depends on what the coach's role will be.  Will he just look after the Welsh team ?  Not a lot of time commitment needed there.

Or will he have a wider role, covering other Welsh teams or development in general.

Either way, it's not a high profile role for 11 months of the year.  If I was a top ranking coach, it wouldn't be of great interest to me as a full time job.  Part time, as an addition to a $uperleague job, happen.

Clive is full time at Donaster ru so doubt he'd have time to do this on top of working with Cru too.
