I think I might go to this one tonight. Hoping for a Salford win, but we often manage to find ways to lose games we should win, so I'm not counting any chickens. As long as it's a good game, I'll come home happy. (And if you believe that, ... ;) )

I fancy our chances.

Gaskell and Sidlow return.

Slight drawback; Diskin also returns, at the expense of Olbison.

Hoping for a Bulls win obviously but not expecting one. :(

Have turned down a night out elsewhere for this game so it better be 'not terrible'. (Best I am hoping for)

22-6 HT to Salford. They are better side but not by that much. I'm struggling to see what exactly it is that RL linesmen do.

Not  a bad performance considering we had so many players who were not fully match fit. Purtell, Gale and Gaskell looked good for us; defence needs working on ... too static and too many easy yards conceded.

Puletula, Chase and Sau were the pick of the Salford team. We should have niggled Chase a bit more because he kicked off with Kear, just because Elliott had  the temerity to tackle him.

I think Bentham's our best ref but, tonight, he had a stinker. He can look forward to being on the naughty boy step at Red Hall on Monday .... assuming he can remember what the word "forward" means.

Salford the better team but a fair effort from the Bulls. Ultimately just not good enough at the end of the day but plenty of effort....but all undone by silly errors.

If it wasn't before, it's looking grim now.

I think it looks more promising, if only because Wakefield are shipping so many points.

Chase should have been in the bin, minimum, for kicking out at Kear. Instead absolutely no action was taken despite the touch judge being in front of the incident.

But they are still in front of us.

Too many errors invited Salford on. Otherwise we were pretty much on top through the field, we just don't have what Hock and Pulutua have inside the ten. I thought our attack was disjointed at times and I guess Gale and Gaskell need to gel again. Adam Henry gets better with every game. Bentham was awful.

My biggest concern was up in the directors box.Ferres and the new director were both together in the main section, but Robbie was about as far away as he could possibly be sat on his own and he did not look happy. Duncan Preston went to join him later, but it didn't look good.

I know you Bulls fans are unhappy with the number of mistakes you made tonight, but I think we matched you. We must have knocked on 6 times in the first 20 minutes! And the number of offloads we let you get away with was crazy. I didn't feel comfortable until we got that final try. We seemed to be searching for a way to lose the game at times - and couldn't even do that right!

Overall, I think we were the better of two teams which, while not poor exactly, looked to be lacking both a bit of leadership and a lot of composure. I reckon we were just better at the composure and that was the difference in the end.

I can't really comment on the screams for "forwaaaaaard!", as I was on the Rooley Lane terrace, but you certainly bent Bentham's ear enough about it and he still didn't give (m)any against us. I thought it was ironic that the first one he gave was against you. I think he got that one right, as the receiver was 2 yards to the left of the passer and a clear yard in front. Even from Rooley Lane, that one was pretty clear. ;)

Anyway, I like the Bulls and hope the rest of your season is more rewarding than tonight was.

Meanwhile, Marwan's Magical Mystery Tour keeps us entertained.

One good thing, the banter on the terraces is really funny, at least where I was stood. Some well funny comments and characters around me.

The Bulls fans seem to have created their own parable: "The boy who cried FOOOOORWAAARD!"

Absolutely risible whenever you visit Odsal. Give it a rest!

As for the game, Bradford not great, Salford not significantly better and still a long way off the top teams.

Thing is, there was a pathetic policing of forward passes last night. It's no wonder people get wound up.

Bradford fans have been doing it for years. It's bizarre!

What is bizzare about complaining about forward passes? They are against the rules and the linesmen aren't going to mention it. There are too many in the game.

They are called touch judges, not linesmen. What is bizarre (or perhaps ridiculous) is that a large number of Bradford fans seem to shout "forward" almost every time the opposition pass the ball. Almost always the ball is clearly not forward. I have yet to hear them suggest that their own team might pass the ball forward from time to time.
