Rochdale off the bottom today with their 2nd win in the Championship. Tough game with both sides having dominant periods but neither side really made the most of them

Wayne English was a deserved man of the match and Ryan Millard continues to look a class act for Hornets. When they click, Rochdale do score some belting tries.

For Haven, Shaun Ainscough made a couple of good breaks and was dangerous throughout. Lee Mitchell was very strong and looked like he could still do a pretty good job in SL. Star man for me though was the huge prop forward with the beard and little ponytail who came off the bench. Not sure who he was as I missed the lineups at the start but he looked a real handful every time he carried it up. Anyone know who he is? Had a look at Whitehaven's site but can't see any photos or player profiles so no clues there.

Given the way Donny have been playing this season, a losing bonus point isn't too bad for the Cru. With Rochdale at home on Good Friday and the re-arranged away game with Whitehaven on the 27th. to follow things are now looking a bit easier.

... and we have our first choice players returning to fitness. Reading comments from yesterday NWC have to improve their discipline, not give away back to back sets and leave themselves constantly defending.

Win of the week for Leigh coming back from 24-0 down and with only 12 players for the 2nd half.

You might say that having Barlow sent off improves your chances. Teams who he has played with certainly know how to press his "red mist" button.

Jono Smiths sin binning definitely didn't help yesterday, it was a petulant kick that he aimed at the play the ball, probably to try and give himself a bit more time to get back to marker.
