Really enjoyed today's game, The first 25 minutes was a bit of an arm wrestle but as soon as we scored the match really took off.

From where I was sat it seemed that Danny Ansell just keeps on getting better and better. Wish that I was going to the Wigan game but unfortunately work commitments mean I will be in Ireland, but I will be listening to the game on the radio if radio Leeds feature us for a change

The best performance of the season imo, defensively we were very sound apart from one break in the 1st half when the Oldham forward bombed a certain try by not passing. Thought James Coyle led us around the park well with a great kicking game, Grimmer was always dangerous and Tebb,y really adds to the attack when he comes on. Another great team effort with everyone once again playing well, the only slight downside is the goalkicking with a couple of fairly easy kicks missed but with Ballard  still to come back its no problem.Roll on Wigan...

Got to agree with you there Wakey, regarding Danny Ansell, last season the lad was a very poor player for us, now he is like a new player. cannot believe it's the same man. his kicking game improved 100% for starters, and we need him in the team every week.

The main point today was that we looked a lot fitter than Oldham for the last 30 minutes of the game, but Oldham was up for it , and nothing in it at half time , credit to both teams for an entertaining game.

And just have to give a mention to Maples who Oldham struggled to contain all the game , and it's a job he is only a small bloke , for Oldham's sake, with him looking unstopable today , he should have been the man of the match with that performance. Plus Danny Grimshaw made some great breaks today.

All in all a Good Friday indeed.

And all in all a good Friday.

Great game yesterday with some great performances. With some great exhibition rugby to entertain the crowd.

Well done to Oldham no11 ensuring his greadiness stopped his team from taking the lead.

Another point, when kain went off injured it would have been better Watson moving to full back than Ansell & grimshaw to centre (he knows how to play that position with featherstone)

However not complaining

Can you name 1 thing Ansell did wrong at fullback? I can't, so not sure how you can claim that putting Watson there & grimmer at centre would have been better

Ansell did nothing wrong at full back, but it doesn't mean he wouldn't have done if Oldham had kicked better. Full back is a specialist position and I agree, moving Watson to full back with Grimshaw in the centre would have been a better option. Grimshaw would have more room in the centre also.

Like gabby says Watson is a natural fullback. Ansell did nothing wrong & has been playing well at halfback so there is no need to move him out of that position when we have a natural fullback as it is a specialist position.

I see that the Oldham fullback was named their man of the match. I thought he was the main reason we won so easily. Either that or our kicks were brilliantly placed as they were bobbling around all over the place or dropped. Oldham's kicks went straight to a Hunslet man every time

Who ever named him man of the match , must have been an Hunslet supporter.
