I expect Wigan to win, but not by a walkover. This season we have a habit of just doing enough, grinding the opposition down and easing away in the last 20. Aside from Friday, we have also been starting very slow.

Wane was very quick to make it personal against Makinson the other day. If he's big enough and tough enough to sound off about a young player half his age, hopefully he can take a bit of stick on a rugby messageboard without throwing his bananas out of the pram.

Having a Mourinho moment?

There is no need for offensive personal comments.

52-0 now.

They will stay up, I read it on here.

Crowds will go up too.  Relegation seasons bring the punters in.  It's all the jeopardy.

Sad to see a proud club like Bradford take a beating like that. Brings back horrible memories of 05/06 for a Wigan fan.

Looking on the brighter side, some excellent performances from Wigan's squad members given a chance. There sure is some depth in the creative roles when the likes of Hampshire, Williams and Powell can come in and perform like that. Eight missing from Wigan's first choice 17, but the team didn't suffer at all.

I was really hoping for the bulls in the cup this year. I can only fantisize of what could of been. Oh well, see you next year

Still possible isn't it?

Or are you not rating our chances at Swinton?

Surely you don't think Bradford will lose their tie?

We could have had the following as an alternative starting 13 -

Bowen - Charnely - Hughes - Thornley - Burgess - Powell - Smith

Taylor - Tomkins - Crosby - Eddie P - Burke/Clubb - Flower

Really good strength in depth.

Hampshire is the business.

Incidentally, it's odd looking at the Wire squad how few organisers they have of the same calibre as Powell, Williams or Hampshire (let alone Bowen, Green and Smith). The more I look at that Wire squad, the odder it seems. World class talents but so unbalanced.
