It needs to be an experienced one who ever it is Although we need it sorting I hope they don't rush and make a mistake again They said there was plenty of applications last time so hope there is again

well that would be a step back - in all honesty I cant see further than MC picking up the phone and asking sean Long back.

to be fair he did a good job when he was here before, but since then he has had a lot of problems, and sacked from London etc but now back at Salford.

Bastion to Long would be one extreme to the other.

I would assume that a fairly hefty payout will be going JB's way so I doubt we will be poaching another clubs coach.

Noble - Not A chance

Rea - God I hope not (Please please)

Cullen - Out of game way too long

Lowes - No way would he leave Leeds

Morgan - He isnt coming back to UK unless SL

long would be where my money is but whoever it is it needs sorting fast !!

Whomever it is - how attractive are we?

New stands, decent squad, 3rd in league, potential for a decent war chest in the summer to spend, cant see there being no shortage of applicants

What's John Kear done, other than winning the Challenge Cup twice from being underdogs, and coaching sides to punch above their weight? He sure outwitted Sean Long and Paul Rowley in last years play-offs, and nearly did it against Aston. You have to concede that all three teams were far superior to Batley on paper. I'd like to see how he performs with one of the strongest squads in the competition.

DP always had it tough against Batley while John Kear was in charge. I wouldn't be unhappy with him getting the job. My first choice would be Sean Long if he's up to it mentally and Chris Chester is tactically smart and well respected. I'd also like to see Peter Roe involved in the background in a football capacity.

I wouldn't say no to John Kear. He is articulate, knows his rugby and has a good record. I must br getting old I can remember him playing on the left wing for Cas.

John Kear won 49, lost 53 and drew one game whilst in charge at Wakefield from 2006 to 20011, steering them to 8th in 2007 and 5th in 2009, which wasn't bad for such a badly run club with no cash.

He's obviously loyal as well Steve having stayed with our near neighbours for 18005 years.

John Kear is happy at Batley. Are you not satisfied with helping rip the heart out our team last year??
