Carl Hall has said that Kent won't be joining Featherstone until after our game this weekend.

He's been a solid player for us though, played 11 games and scored 2 tries.

No problem.

He's got better as he's gone on as well.

I hope Keegan replied "aye, and I could do a better job coaching Halifax"

Don't we all! Not sure there are that many 'devastating' forwards around at our level! As for us, I would be delighted with a bit of solidity at present.

As for the much maligned Keegan Hirst, he has done a great job for Batley, both before his move and on his subsequent return to Batley. To expect him to burst every tackle and destroy opponents is to misunderstand his game. If that was what Featherstone were expecting when he joined you, then your recruitment system might need a re think.

I don't think any of us expected hom to do it every tackle DD. Doing it at all would have been a start.

After stu, tonka, engy etc.... impact props that were highly rated at fev, its obvious he would be measured against them. Sadly, his performances were in the main, inept.

simply not the req standard hence fev letting him go.

I wish him well

So do I, and woudl be delighted with him if he ended back up at the LRL.com stadium. For us, he provided the grunt at the end of each half which created the gaps for others against tiring defences. His defence is also a big plus.

Fair enough though, each to their own.

DD unfortunately for some reason the previous coach didn't utilise the offload Keegan has,or exploit his ability to get off the floor and give a quick PTB. Robin for a  bloke his size, you would expect him to be able to break tackles and have aggression  like previous props.I think with the forwards that have been brought in Keegan would find it hard to get in the 17. If DD he does go back to Batley I'm sure he'll settle back in and do a job for you.

Ambitious by fev but we would like some younger players. More like players who will be here if we enter superleague not players who may retire in a few years.

We need players that can get us there first At least the ones that are coming in are making the team stronger and look like they want to play We need to remember we had one but it got broke up and now we are lucky that we have someone with money who can afford to bring players in and hopefully the coach can get them playing together so we can get back where we were
