*** Please note this is our Round 17 Tipping competition posted one week earlier than is usual. ***
I won't have the appropriate access before the comp starts  on Friday 4th July.
Neither, for that matter, will I be able to summarise  the R16 comp and update the various threads until the end of R17.
I will of course catch up with this including awarding the belated awards for R16 as soon as I can. I hope you did well
in the R16 comp ... when it happens!

WELCOME
.
This round kicks off on Friday 4th July.
There's a  reduced set of five games to tip this coming weekend.
Everyone reading this is welcome to enter this weekly competition which runs throughout the season.
New  or occasional entrants are welcome to join us.
Whether you've taken part before or you fancy having a go this week for the first time you're guaranteed a warm welcome.
Entries are allowed each week up until the kick off of the first game in the round

ROUND 17 QUESTIONS:
*Poll Competition:
Our regular poll comp looks at a different aspect each week. This week it's
How many teams will have a final score of 9 points or fewer?
- enter in the poll itself at the top and put your answer in your posting.

Now the main event of the week:

*Match tipping Competition:
Name the 5 (that's FIVE) winning teams in NRL Round 17 2014

*Points Competition
How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R17?
This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.

*Home Win Competition:
How many HOME wins will there be in NRL R17?
In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

Fixtures:

Round172014NRL_zps6cca86c8.jpg

Animated awards will be given for the winner(s) of each competition question.
Match tipping scores will be added together as the season progresses to produce a Tipsters' Ladder which is pinned to the top of the forum topic list page

The best of luck to everyone.
Enjoy your Rugby League! B)

Well done Marv for getting 3 from 5. An inspired piece of tipping going for the Titans - no-one else saw that coming.  :clapping:

May I suggest a better way of tipping is to choose your winners and then put down the opposite.
