Todd Carney has been sacked from his $650K contract with Cronulla  today.

A Lewd photo has been circulating of him "bubbling"

I must be getting old, never heard of this rubbish in  my day.

Where Is Marwan now.

Salford don't need any more halfbacks.......on the other hand though, Fev do...

Firstly, I need to look up bubbling (if that is what he was doing, unless the op means rumours of the photo have been around for a while) - it sounds like something I should be into.

Either way, the border agencies wouldn't let him in last time, can't see what will have changed.

The photo shows someone that looks just like Carney urinating into his own mouth at a urinal. Quite gross.

In NSW a "bubbler" is a public drinking fountain.

Hahaha thats brilliant n disgusting at the same time, i dont see why he would get sacked for it though as theres no law against drinking your own pi$$ infact im sure iv heard its good for you.

Catalan could sign him if no nrl club want him but im sure there good for half backs next year so could end up going to the dark side.

He can play Fullback if need be and would even be a handy Centre.

He has had enough chances though, he needs to be given a rest from the game for awhile.

Ah. Think I I'll probably give that a miss.

He wont play in SL as cant get a visa due to his record with the police. I think Huddersfield tried around 3 or 4 years ago and failed. Quality player but has a screw loose! Has not broken any laws as such but its bad publicity for the club and game. Could be his club have had enough of the antics

I expect that's him finished in the NRL. If he can't get a Super League club i would expect him to go to French union.

I wish Twitter would revert to hiding photos by default.  This one keeps popping up on my timeline as people keep retweeting it and frankly it's gross to look at once, never mind numerous times.

Although this has turned out bad for Todd carney what about the NRL? What with the whole "no such thing as bad publicity", personally I think it's disgusting what he did but judging by all the media coverage down under and on twitter I think rightly or wrongly this is true.

Can someone tell me what is so wrong with this?

I think it's like anything else in such as as long as its done behind closed doors etc, putting it out there for all to see is IMO the problem.

Did he intend for it to be put out there though?

I think there is a different between this and the Joel Monaghan photo. But there is nothing "wrong" with this one. It's his personal time, he can do what ever gross hobby he likes surely (as long as it's within the law)?

What a strange thing to do, don't need idiots like him in SL. Let him go to Union where this sort of thing is almost expected after a game.

If it had been some young idiot player on a first offence he might have got away with it.

This is Todd Carney (previously sacked by two other clubs for off-field incidents I think?), he's nearly 30, he was pretty much in last-chance saloon when he signed for the Sharks, and he's at a club in the middle of a 'supplements' investigation.... Did he really think this was going to end well?

Can't believe he was sacked for this. He's not harmed anyone, not done drugs, not broken the law. Feel a bit sorry for him!

If you don't think this happens in SL, you are seriously deluded.

Seriously, lads will be lads. Can someone specifically tell me what it is he's done wrong? It's gross, and I wouldn't do it. But that doesn't make it wrong!

Would you want your child emulating him though?

Not really no, but that's not the point. I wouldn't want my child doing a lot of things seen on social media but it doesn't make this things illegal.

Stuff like that happens on lots of rugby nights out, it just doesn't all get publicised!

Seriously? I don't know, maybe it's because I'm female and this is a guy thing, but how is doing this ok?

Carney is (was) paid $650,000 a year, kids look at twitter etc, he's a massive role model, and you think doing this is acceptable?

But that's not a defence! It doesn't have to be illegal to make it morally wrong. And the fact is, these days everything you do can get publicised. That's the whole point. You need to know better.

And Carney more than anyone should know that. Have you seen his history?
