How sad it is, to see players going down, to slow play down, get penalties, we used to laugh at soccer.every game I attend this happens, obviously the ref must stop the game, as he has to look after the players safety, but when they get off the floor, and take the next drive, or trot on to the wing, smiling, it's obvious, it's a tactic.

Not sure why you have posted this in the NCL forum, its not prevalent in the league anymore than any other level or age group.

On the scale of misdemeanours in our game it ranks pretty low.

Why not cutsyke, it's just a observation, just like the play the ball farce, and the scrum farce, ect ect.

The heat getting to you I fear  .  Our player Lee Forsyth certainly wasn't faking it at the weekend - ended up with a dislocated elbow and is in plaster for 6 weeks.  And to make matters worse, he get's married in 4 weeks poor lad   :giveheart:  .

Of course it's a tactic, if you have played the game then you will know sometimes you need to slow the game down to either re-group for defence or else hang out for a win but at the end of the day it's up to the ref to stop the clock lets face it it isn't something that's just started it's been happening for years

Ok so the games got better, with all this, modern day tactics, is that why the fans, are turning there backs on the game, it's so stereotype now, the coaches are all off the same course, wake up and smell the coffe.

Perhaps we should take guidance from another sport and start searching for a supply of fake blood capsules ?

It's been done all my life. The amount of players on the leading side who find it very difficult to get up and play the ball in the last five minutes has always increased greatly, sometimes it extends into full-blown sponge treatment. Sometimes injuries are even genuine!
