Dave Whitehead - R.I.P.

The trustees of the Oldham Rugby League Heritage Trust would like to offer its condolences to the family and friends of Dave Whitehead who has recently passed away.

 

Dave was a respected founder trustee of the Oldham Rugby League Heritage Trust formed following a meeting of supporters who first got together back in 1995 to discuss the players to be inducted into Oldham Rugby League Club's first Hall of Fame. He has remained a trustee ever since.

My condolences and those of Rugby Oldham too. Dave was a major figure in Oldham's RL community and beyond.

 

1998 went to Barbados on England cricket tour. There's ONE fish and chip shop on Barbados; when I walked in there were 2 customers, who else but Dave Whitehead and John Watkins? Oldham lads always find the nearest chippy!
