Four week build up to the final - welcome return

Recommended Posts

Thought the Cup semis - only two weeks before the final - sold Cas (in particular) short a bit last year. It's not just about getting to the final for clubs, they also hope to cash in on merchandising and other spin-offs. The fans also have more time to plan trips and enjoy lead-up events.

Hopefully, Hull KR and Leeds will feel the full benefit of 4 weeks this time - and make the most of it. It may put a few on the attendance too (fingers crossed).

With hull kr returning to wembley for the 1st time in 29 years I would think it would boost the attendance like when hull FC reached old Trafford in the grand final. New teams in finals freshens up the competition.

Wasn't that mainly because they expanded OT that year?
