European Refugee Crisis

How do you know they're Isis?

Swarthy, beardy...

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Pictures are appearing on social media of ISIS fighters in civvies in Munich with their mates.

Tragically this is going to turn out bad

They spend time and money training some fighters, they risk death by drowning, risk fellow refugees exposing them, can't carry weapons or equipment, get all the way to Munich.... then have a bit a meet and greet in the street?.... right....

Its slightly easier to use the willing volunteers already here (not that they are actually controlled by some central command).

I am still suspicious of the way Germany is officially open to refugees and Hungary does not want them - yet Hungary was stopping them leaving Hungary to go to Germany.  The coverage over here is not as extensive.  Would someone explain?

In the EEC, most countries' Governments have said it wants to take some immigrants; their electorates don't.

If this crisis had blown up twelve month's earlier, UKIP would have a fair few MPs.

David Cameron moves from hugging hoodies to hugging hijabs. Shallow man doing anything for a photo opportunity.

Germany paying the Hungarians to enforce Dublin regulation, then Hungary becoming so overrun it moves the problem on to Germany.  Hungary has a history with Islam.

Germany coming under so much pressure it closes border with Austria.  Now why would it do that having said it will take 800,000 without a mandate from the German people?

He has to keep a lid on UKIP and be seen to be doing something to help.  Nice work, but no one is fooled.

I think it's cos they saw an unverified photo on twitter and realised that the comments sections were right.

Merkel the Clueless now decides to control the border of Germany and Austria! Well done for having no idea and making things worse day by day. The German government has said it has no money for its citizens to pay more for Kindergartens, Schools, Pensioners, Road repairs etc but she and her crew manage to find 6 Billion for Refugees for next year! The Police and health authorities, especially in Bavaria are stretched to its and there is no help coming from Mutti (As Merkel is known as in Germany). If anybody knows what she and her leftist friends are trying to do please let us know as they seem to think they can just cram everybody in to Europe and force the likes of Hungary and Poland to take Refugees that they cant properly look after. Thanks to her and that Clown Junkers at the EU they have manage to destroy much harmany in Eurpe and create a feeling of insecurity. The biased media are nothing more than the Propaganda Tool from these 2 clueless people who have no idea what to do and jump from one decision to the next with no thought.

Whilst these people have every right to flee I think its a disgrace that they are demonstrating in places like Lesbos, Hungary etc about things. Nobody forced them to come to Europe and Europe has millions of its own that are living below the poverty line especially in places like Greece. It seems many are not just wanting to flee war but are expecting much more and why they are so hell bent on coming to Western Europe and ignoring other places which are just as safe on the way.

Are these the pictures from 2012 that appear to being recycled because it suits the agenda of some?

Saw that pic on facebook this morning.  Thanks for that.

If those pictures were real-time, they'd be all over the national and international mainstream media rather than on some 'random' website on the internet or someone's facebook feed. The security services would also be all over these individuals like a rash. It is why I have cast doubt on all of them posted by BTTF so far. If ISIS militants were in Europe (and no doubt they are), they wouldn't be protesting on the streets of Munich.

Yep agree with your initial comments they would be all over the mainstream media, but I also think its early days for them to show their hand

Anybody that thinks there are none already in Europe with more to come are living in cloud cuckoo land, there are far too many 20-30's young men for some not to be affiliated in some way.

I hope i'm not back on here in the near future saying I told you so though

Sadly I dont trust Mainstream Media neither as they have their own hidden and not so hidden agendas and will manipulate things just as much as somebody on Social Media. But you are right ISIS wont be protesting in Europe they will be planning to cause mayhem like in Paris, Tunisia etc. Its sadly just a matter of time until the next terrorist attack happens and kills and injures innocent people-one of which could be us.

I'll reply to both of you in a oner if that is ok?!

I am not going sit here and dispute a terrorist attack won't happen in Europe at some point in the near future. It almost certainly will; there is no disputing that despite the fantastic job security services such as the Intelligence and Police Agencies do. However, we are far more likely to face an attack from a home-grown lunatic than someone who has 'infiltrated' Europe through the refugee chain. ISIS et al may be full of bluster and propaganda but they are not stupid. There are far better ways of reaching Europe than travelling along a route, which risks death on the boat journey across the sea and a land route which is no doubt being 'watched' extensively the security forces. We never stopped Northern or Southern Irish folk coming across to the UK despite the IRA bombing campaign on the mainland so we should not be frightened by vague threats from some crazy folk in the desert. We need to trust our security forces, remain vigilant, retain our dignity, ideals and humanity, and ultimately deal with any future attacks lawfully. Anything other approach will embolden groups like ISIS, not protect ourselves.

For what it is worth, I tend to agree with you LRL in your criticism of Merkel's decision-making here. We absolutely should be helping the refugees from the Syrian conflict, but advertising that 'Germany' is open is not the best approach as the journey is perilous as we have sadly seen. I do think the British approach is far more sustainable and appropriate. The money Germany is spending to cater for the refugees would be far better spent in the camps in the Middle East rather than a 'people-grab' to boost Germany's workforce in the future. But we must help these people in the best way we can; if that is bringing some to the UK, Germany etc, then so be it. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, we must retain our dignity, ideals and humanity as that is what our way of life is based on, not intolerance.

The Iron Curtain was an exclusion infrastructure operated by Eastern Europeans in 1945 and was in place till about 1990.

For over 40 years its very existence  was lambasted by Western European nations, who joined together to work in harmony as the European Union.

Well, 25 years later, those Western European nations are erecting a brand new Iron Curtain exclusion infrastructure and have fallen out bigstyle amongst themselves.

The situation is truly "ironic" ;)

Bye Bye, EU.

The Germans have a lot to answer for this mess

Those in glass houses.  In fact, those in glass houses shouldn't be playing with high explosives.

SPD and CDU are starting to get some heat and a number of people are starting to criticize Mutti Merkel for not having a clear plan of where she is heading with this ( as well as the Greece bailout plan). She invited the whole world to come to Germany and then shuts the door leaving tens of thousands stuck on route. She should never have invited them to Germany and the EU decision to pick up people and bring them to Europe has helped just increase the number of illegal immigrants. And when Syria, Eritrea etc are back to stable safe rule does Merkel and the lefties really think these people will want to go back after getting free food, clothing, drink and accomodation in Europe?
