Is anyone else's grass growing like mad.  I've cut ours twice this week.  After three days it didn't look as though I'd cut it at all. Is it the rain and sun?  I thought grass generally slowed down about now.

Pour whisky on it and it comes up half cut..

Joe Namath was once asked if he preferred grass or Astroturf.

He said he didn't know as he'd never smoked Astroturf

I did our garden yesterday, the bushes and trees had seriously grown out of hand.  I mentioned today in the office that I had good fun going all Bruce Campbell with the hedge trimmer, in lieu of a proper chainsaw, and I got more than a few blank stares in the office, some of the younger lot were wondering if I'd finally gone senile.

Our lawn is growing at a stupid rate with all this rain and sunshine. I cut the grass yesterday and it took ages as I had to keep stopping to empty the grass box...then the mower ran out of petrol too. Might get astro-turf

Nice, but I'd much rather watch the blackbirds, spuggies and jackdaws hunt for food on ours. I also leave it a little long so the clover gets a chance to flower and feeds the bees.

God knows what would happen if we all went plastic.
