Not being a gambler, what will your $5 become if you win?

Not wanting to be facetious, 5 x 3.10 or $15.50

We changed over to decimal odds 30 years ago. 3.10 = some impossible to calculate price, like 2 1/10th to 1

Is there any tax to pay in Oz

Not on winnings unless gambling is your occupation. It's pointless to tax professional gamblers in one sense because you would have to allow them to deduct all their losses. Rich people like former Channel 9 boss Kerry Packer used to drop $1 million on the toss of a coin. The public would be horrified if he got a $1 million deduction from his taxable income for that.

I think all gambling outlets pay about 10-15% of turnover as tax.

Storm still not declaring their hand...

Melbourne Storm have trimmed their squad to 19 players ahead of their Round 1 showdown with the Bulldogs at Belmore.

Joe Stimson and Brodie Croft drop out of the original 21-man squad that was named on Tuesday.

Josh Addo-Carr is set to pull on the purple jersey for the first time while Vincent Leuluai and Ryley Jacks remain a chance to make their Storm debut, having been named on a six-man extended bench.
