Raiders V Skolars

Full commentary on RC this afternoon. Seemed to be a grim game by both sides but Raiders won 20-10 in the end. Each side scored 3 tries and the remainder of the points were penalties and conversions.

Cresta has been interviewed and said that Bullock was ill ,Cresswell was injured and Hume could be out for some time.

The match officials seemed very poor and the half backs struggled on the small field.

Although the Club didn't run a supporters trip to the game there was quite a lot of shouting for 'Barrow'

Anyway we are second in the league until tomorrow.

Haven should take care of Donny but it's a funny old league this year.

Listening to the radio it sounded like the ref didn't have a clue! and seeing the pictures on Facebook it looked like London doesn't have any changing rooms for the lads at half time!!

Well done lads for a win?

Good win boys - London are a one of the better new teams and last year they won at Craven Park.

It will be a blow if Declan Hume has a long term injury

It was a strange game. Everyone seemed to be a bit off colour somehow. I suspect that a combination of heat off the very narrow plastic pitch and a very strong wind were factors.

The referee certainly came up with some odd decisions.Skolars went over under the posts but the referee had decided it was halftime. Everyone stood around for a little and then just sort of sauntered off. The commentator said" well it looks like its half time although both timekeepers have a minute left on the clock" as the players left the pitch the hooter went! Neither team went into the changing rooms.

In the second half he gave a penalty to Skolars and then after consulting with the touch judge he sinbinned Lamont Bryant but still gave them the pen.

At the end of the day, a win was all that mattered and even ugly wins are worth 2 points. It was very unBarrow like in making the clinical decisions of opting to take the penalty opportunities whenever they presented. That was the difference between the two sides.

Whilst there wasn't a supporters bus there were still about 30/40 of us making some noise.
