The cynic that I am

Recommended Posts

Well after toulouse's staggering comeback yesterday at Hull kr to win and keep the race for 4th place open between toulouse & halifax..

So next weekends fixtures are critical you've got on Saturday

Toulouse vs Featherstone

And Sunday

Halifax vs hull kr

Now what does hull kr do as it stands in the middle 8's hull kr travel to halifax, but if halifax lose and toulouse win, Halifax will be replaced by toulouse meaning hull kr will then travel to toulouse a team they've not beaten..I know where I'd rather go if I was hull kr ;) if toulouse do qualify poor old widnes will have the pleasure of traveling away to both catalans & toulouse.

I'm expecting toulouse to beat Featherstone Saturday... And if I was a betting man I'd lump 20p on hull kr having a shocker and halifax winning that so toulouse wouldn't make the 8's.

Now for me spells disaster for the plate competition

As some poor suckers are going to travel twice to toulouse.. Say as a example

Toulouse finish in 1st  and we finish 4th in the plate we would have to travel to toulouse in the semi, even.if we win we'll then have to travel batley or Sheffield for the final...bearing in mind the semi final vs toulouse could be only couple weeks after playing them in the knockout stages...for me this is how we play it...let's finish 8th to secure 4 home games, then in the plate finish 5th avoiding a money losing trip to toulouse, players get a extra couple of weeks off to rest after a difficult season and we can put our narrow escape to bed and dream again about next season :)

It will leave my post unchanged

As I think hull kr will prefer to go to halifax than toulouse

Don't forget the games are not simultaneous and if fev win on Saturday,Hull kr will win Sunday

And if toulouse win Saturday halifax will win Sunday

We'll see ;)

If Toulouse beat Fev and Fax beat HKR Fax will finish 3rd therefore HKR will have to go to Fev. Not sure they would want that!

I think with the current climate at Featherstone with all the comings and goings

Hemel stags would be confident going to post office rd ;)

Has there ever been a coach after taking over has lost 8 games on the trot

We'll be able to call it a "duffy run"

;)

We shall have to wait and see, already Kyle Briggs who has supposedly been injured all season has had a miraculous recovery and is in the squad for Saturday.

You never know this may be a good catalyst.
