15th Sept : Super 8s : St Helens v Huddersfield Giants K.O. 8pm

I think it's glass half empty for Hudds vs St Helens tomorrow night.

The Giants' pack is going to be lightweight tomorrow owing to absentees and the Saint Helens mastodons are likely to give them a battering.

Saints to win by a large distance. Ben Barba to perform on cue.

Pretty ###### stuff really, although at one point despite being totally outplayed, we were only 6-12 down, before Saints ran away with it.

Credit to the Giants though for not giving in and giving us something to cheer about late on.

Pretty funny when the stewards came up and asked us to "quieten down" as they'd had complaints the 80 giants fans were making too much noise :)

Not a great game, Giants lucky to be only 18 behind as Saints have been totally dominant.  Without Brough the Giants would pose no threat at all.

24-6 HT

Disagree, it's Seb Ikahihifo we miss more than Brough, it showed last night as the forwards without him and Shannon Wakeman gave the backs nothing much to work with.

Wow 80 away fans, let's hope the RFL take note how important the hordes of fans traditional clubs take to away matches is before they let in any more of these fanciful foreign teams into our game.

80 fans on a Friday night when the M62 is closed coming and going, nothing to play for,  players already on holiday, low away support anyway, not getting back till after midnight etc - those 80 or whatever are the loyalist fans you'll find, yes numbers wise it's terrible but what you get there are fans who will support their team no matter what, they go/went because they love their club not cos they want to see trophies (it would be nice tho).

Let's hope the RFL realise that it's not really a good idea to play cross pennine games on Week nights, we we're told by Blake Solly a couple of years ago that they were gonna stop making this happen, obviously not !!

i'd rather have 80 fans that make & create noise, have enthusiasm, support their team whatever, as opposed to 9500 quiet statues who looked bored stupid as their team ran in try after try,

as Daz, says, with all the problems with the M62 on friday, it's a wonder anyone turned up, it's not about quantity with us, it's about quality.
