RLPA dream team - Sam, Widdop in

Recommended Posts

No place for Josh Hodgson, but we know he can play.  Can Hardaker or ST touch JT?  Who else have we got that could challenge for a place.

"South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Sam Burgess has been named in the Rugby League Players' Association (RLPA) Dream Team.

Burgess was named as lock while Rabbitohs 2018 recruit Dane Gagai also made it into the team named in the centres.

The Players’ 13 Dream Team is:

1. James Tedesco (Wests Tigers)

2. Jordan Rapana (Canberra Raiders)

3. Konrad Hurrell (Gold Coast Titans)

4. Dane Gagai (Newcastle Knights)

5. David Nofoaluma (Wests Tigers)

6. Gareth Widdop (St. George Illawarra)

7. Nathan Cleary (Penrith Panthers)

8. Aaron Woods (Wests Tigers)

9. Cameron Smith (Melbourne Storm)

Aaron Woods. LOL

Agreed. And I don't think that Klemmer's as good as they claim. Konnie is a bit of a surprise, and I'm not too convinced by David Nofoaluma.

Strangely, ten of the players are at clubs that didn't qualify for the play offs!

That is a very strange team with some really unusual selections.

I would argue against Hurrell, but then I've only watched him play a couple of games this year.  The rest are sound imo.

Theres better players this season than most those chosen. Tedesco has been OK but would suggest Trbojovic and Slater have been better. No Johnson or Vunivalu despite being the top 2 wingers in the comp. Aaron Woods and Klemmer? Lol Why is Taumalolo at 11 when he plays 13? I would suggest Taumalolo, Finucane etc have been better than Sam Burgess, who has hardly been that impressive this season.

Hurrell ? Latrell Mitchell , James Roberts ...I also think Woods and Klemmer are talked up beyond their ability . Klemmer is just a straight up hit up merchant . I'm a big fan but Sam is a bit lucky to there . No Paul Vaughan - been miles better than both those props who's faces fit . Well done Widdop though , been outstanding and great leader by example . No Radradra ? I can only think some players haven't paid their subs ...
