Rangers 80 minutes from silverware

Rangers will be looking to put aside criticism of poor performance in the North West Mens League in 2016 by winning the 2017 League.

Back in an early edition of Rugby League World, the club has stated the professional ambitions are not connected to the performance of the current team.

But brought Bob Marsden in alongside Steve Molloy to get an improved performance in 2017.

How ever the small matter of beating Widnes Tigers on Saturday still exists before that can happen.

But hopefully, club speedster Tyrone Chipchase will be on form (featured in the video) and help them on the way.

Gutted athletics overran and kick off was delayed, widnes tigers took the option not to play it.

Hardly a surprise that they didn't want to hang around, I'm sure plenty had non rugby related commitments to get back to, it was already a later than normal kick off and for it to be pushed back further was probably too much

Not a great day.  Pity they couldn't hang on the extra 20 minutes to play the game.

A 4.30 ko was proposed, an hour after the scheduled kick off time. Which was an hour later than usual for amateur rugby

You cant fit in an 80min game, with potential stoppages half time and get showered and changed before 6pm which was when their booked coach had to leave.

Its an unfortunate situation, and neither club as at fault. However I'd be pretty upset with the stadium management who could potentially have cost Rangers the title & promotion
