Martin Gleeson Dinner

A Night You'll Remember

Salford Red Devils' Assistant Coach and rugby league legend Martin Gleeson hosts a rugby night to remember at the AJ Bell Stadium as part of his testimonial.

Noted as one of the country's greatest ever centres, Gleeson will team up with fellow legend Shaun Edwards MBE, who has gone on to make a cross-code name for himself, as well as rugby union star Mark Cueto and special guest Paul Stridgeon.

So if you are free on October 28 and want to pass some of the close-season with some huge names of both codes, tickets are available at the AJ Bell Stadium or by calling 07950 531 253.

I had to Google the last one, seems to be very Union based, maybe he hopes Sale fans will attend.

Did he write these lines himself?

Indeed. A very good centre in his prime, but that's a little hyperbolic to say the least.

He was very hit and miss at Test level, had a good turn of pace and could sniff out a try but was targeted in defense by the stronger Nations.

I hope he has a successful Night.

Paul Stridgeon is a conditioner in RU but I'm guessing he is there as I'm presuming he is friends with Martin as he would have gone to the same school and been in the same year.

Dumb question but how has he qualified for a testimonial?

Due to the number of years that he has played the game and been involved with several different clubs I presume,it has happened with other players previously.

Thanks. So I take it the 300 games or ten years at one club criteria has now been binned? Or did Gleeson actually play 300 games?

He scored a try against Hull KR when making his Hull FC debut at the KC.

Just how much greater do you need him to be?

Disgraced for both Drugs and Betting, i'm sorry but I wont be supporting this one.

The last one (game) I went to was for Richard Horne at the KC, he's the sort of ambassador for the club and game we need to be looking after (I am a KR Fan)

A hat trick against Rovers.
