Good burn out for the boys. Hard to gauge much but some really good attacking play. Gordon, newts and Doran the standouts for me. Great to see Scott Akehurst and Sam getting good run outs and impressing as well

Good run out, team looked fit and hungry. Well done to BARA too, big gulf between the teams and it was a late call up but they played to the end and scored a great try, appreciate they filled in to get the game on.

Played well but like already said it's hard to tell how they will match the better teams of our league.

Scrappy towards the end but nice to see the quick play.

Well done Town.

It might sound daft but i think we were trying not to score after we got to 80.

Well worth the trip down just to see the squad. Big Ryan Mac kept his Asian heritage quiet over the years! What a transformation in Jamie Doran's physique-- must be a couple of stone lighter- don't think he would have scored that length of the field try last year. Stevie looks trimmer but hasn't lost any of his aggression--- thought he was among the best today. A great atmosphere about the club now- never felt as optimistic for a long time. Big raps to Ikram Butt and Gary Schofield for making it happen. Their 7 was a standout for them - reminded me of old school scrum halves like Andy Gregory!

Doran has always been deceptively quick even in his puppy fat Kells youth days , he was always known for line breaks and long distance trys and scored one last year against London , stevie has never given less than 100 % during his playing days and it is the reason he is where he is despite being not a big prop .

all good fun and credit for stepping in at short notice but defence wins games , the next couple of games will or should give the defence some real practice , the Barrow game will be interesting and should show how much work has been done in that side of the game

To be fair Jamie scored the a more or less identical try last season. He was a class above today though and 100% looks fitter, as does the whole squad. Not a bum bag in sight.

A mistake anybody could make ?.    Actually, looking at the scoreboard today it could have been a dyslexic take on a traditional derby!

all this BARA BARA BARA , talking of them all day easy slip , went to comment on a better game ahead and put Barrow .
