Keighley Cougars can this evening announce the loan signing of James Davies from the Bradford Bulls.

Davies, who is a Prop Forward, arrives at Cougar Park on an initial month’s loan from Odsal after not featuring so far in 2018 under new Bulls Head Coach John Kear.

The 24-year old joined the Bulls on an initial month’s trial midway through the 2017 season and went on to make 15 appearances, scoring one try, as the club were relegated from the Championship.

Outside of the game, James is a personal trainer and took 18 months out of the sport to pursue his career after a brief spell with Hunslet RL but continued to play Union during this time with Morley RU.

As a junior, Davies started his career with the Leeds Rhinos before heading down under to Australia where he had spells with the Blacktown Rovers and NRL side Penrith Panthers.

The club would like to take this opportunity to welcome James to Cougar Park and wish him all the best during his time with us.

Davies has been allocated the number 36 jersey and if you would like to sponsor our new loan signing, then please follow this link: https://keighleycougars.com/player-sponsorship/
