The wedding was on almost all the computer screens they could get it on in A and E at Grimsby Hospital where I am taking a short (I trust)  stay.

Best wishes to you there John. I hope all is ok.

Hopefully your stay has now finished and you're okay.

Well I didn't see any of it, not one second. I did actually hear a bit as it was on in the work canteen but by the time I'd gone in the TV part, someone had turned it over. Didn't watch any news when I got home so I'd say that it can be done (avoiding it). The only downside is working all weekend.

It must have given the economny outside of Windsor a righ kicking. Went for a coffe at a cafe in Ponte that is usually rammed on a Saturday, and it was dead. All of my online clients saw a huge dip in web traffic, sales and revenue.

They were all at Newcastle.

I feel your frustration, I’m fortunate to have my iPad with me for my stay in this weekend. Never watched 7 RL games on the bounce before yesterday. Enjoyed most of them. Hope all goes well 👍🏼

The RFL lady charged with looking after lost Kids at @magic_weekend yesterday turned down a Royal Wedding invitation to perform her role.

Apart from one brief mention I missed it.

Was it any good?

No, don't bother to answer that, I don't care enough to read it!

But enough to post on a thread dedicated to it.

I watched it all and proper enjoyed it.

I watched "The Windsors" and proper enjoyed it does that count?

I don't understand your other point though, if you're not a supporter of the royal idea you can't post about them?

Everyone knows my contempt for the institution that is the monarchy.

I've whinged on oft enough about my abhorrence for the system and the fawning sychophantics that pour over them....

So.... at the risk of boring this forum to the point of annoyance....... it was 2 days ago.... why are we still being fed this drivel????

I'm a thorough republican but this was a nice wedding event that kept the majority royalist portion of the country happy.  Harry seems like a thoroughly decent bloke, Meghan seems nice enough and it showed some rare public humanity in Charles in his dealings with Meghan and her mum.  It was a rare positive event in a couple of years of national turmoil.

My wife's a neutral on this subject, she doesn't have an opinion either way on the royals or republicanism but she watched the wedding and loved the spectacle of it.

So, overall, I didn't watch it but those who like that sort of thing loved it.  Each to their own...

Well it seems you have to be born n bred British to criticise any part of the wedding according to Nadine Dorries...

Quote

Yasmin, why don’t you just try to be nice? Maybe appreciate just a little the country and the people you have chosen the live, work and benefit from all of your life.

In your opinion, unless I missed the referendum proving that.

Got any indications that the royalist portion of the country were unhappy with the wedding?

I'm not much of a royalist but what I saw of it was quite pleasant.

That's not what I was referring to.
