French Live Stream: Lescure-Arthes v Villegailhenc

3:30pm (UK Time) French Elite 2 - Grand Final

Lescure-Arthes v Villegailhenc

No offence to the Rochdale & Swinton, but I might watch a bit of this. Two teams I haven't seen before, and a look at the playing standards of Elite 2.

Lescure are one of those clubs that we could do with dozens more of in both France & UK.

Most of the Lescure team for today's game played for the club as kids.  They have 2 mens teams, a womens team, u-19s, plus kids at all the age groups. Their reserves are in the federale league semi-finals and in the federale cup final next week.

Rowdy-sounding crowd, as kick-off approaches.

Referee just gave a penalty against the acting half-back who attempted to milk a penalty by throwing it at the tackler who was rolling away. Few of those in SL wouldn't go amiss.

I missed it, due to being busy in the kitchen, but I gather he yellow-carded someone within 2 minutes of the match starting.

Have they got two refs  like in Australia??

Yes, although it's more that the referee needs a "minder" in France 😉

What a brilliant game. There was plenty of crunching tackles from both sides. I use Watch.NRL regularly, as I am away from home, and although it's great and the standards are very high etc etc, I prefer this level of RL.

It's the nature of the sport; it could be a great spectacle at any level when competitive.

We only have two refs for finals! The ref got the call wrong as the rules haven't changed in France yet, has the ref got mixed up due to the nrl changing the same rule from next week!
