Today's 20-6 loss and Swinton"s win at Sheffield puts us again on the bottom line.  From the commentary, it appears to have been a very hard fought game, especially 1st half.

Looking at the remaining 7 fixtures of the regular season, present form would indicate very few wins for the current bottom 4 teams, especially as many games are against those hoping to be in the top 4 positions.

Points difference may well decide the two relegation spots.

Good performance by both teams today in blistering conditions. Rochdale defence was very good particularly in the first half and H/T score was 4-0 to Barrow with 2 penalities.

I think the writing is on the wall and has been for some time.

Its definitely 2 leagues in 1, the only fixture of ours that is realistically winnable is the Swinton game.

Swinton have arguably 3 in Dewsbury us and Batley.

Sheffield have 3 in Batley, Dewsbury and Barrow.

Deswbury have 4, Swinton, Barrow, Sheffield and Batley.

Anything is possible of course but were likely to get a tonking off a few teams in the next few week so if points difference does come in to it its not going to be in our favour.

I think youd get pretty good odds on us staying up anyway.

We went through long spells yesterday where we just couldn't complete a set of six, or we were tackled in goal and had to drop out and all that extra effort in defence killed us. Credit to the lads though for the effort in defence they put in but, I think we need our half backs to control the game better.  Our kicking game was poor and we just seem to move the ball from side to side when we get on their line.  It must be easy to read for the Barrow defence.

It's like we get frustrated that we haven't scored and start to push it when we just need to keep in the arm wrestle.  Our completion rate drops and so does our energy.
