From drugs and alcohol to wellbeing: how rugby league is tackling mental health

Danny Sculthorpe recently did a series of lectures for Wigan Council staff. If you get the chance at anytime to catch one of these elsewhere go to it. He gives a very moving thought provoking talk about his struggle to come to terms with his career ending injury.

Heard some really positive things about Sculthorpes talks.  It's been mentioned and hoping he is going to come into our place to deliver some.

Danny Sculthorpe did a talk while I was in the posh seats at Saints last year before our food was served. I had never really heard him speak before and as an ex-player, I probably didn’t have high standards but he spoke passionately, openly and eloquently and what he was saying and what he is doing is superb.

A side note, for someone who is claiming depression around his mother’s death for his use of cocaine, why isn’t Thomas Minns getting involved with this sort of thing?
