If you click on the speaker symbol at the bottom of the picture you can remove the automatic mute setting.

Good news for Wakey, hope he's now considered a first team regular after seemingly being dropped for a while earlier on this season. Not sure how that happened given his position as WBW but never mind.

Also, how did he manage to get that baseball cap fitted over his halo?

He can't be on much of a deal if he can only afford to buy his baseball cap from tbe seconds shop.

Surely having it on backwards should be an automatic fine

I don’t care what he wear’s , aslong as he is on the wing for Wakefield scoring tries :)

Its not on backwards, though. Its a manufacturing fault to put the neb at the back.

Does this lack a bit of ambition?

Does he not want to win things and have the best possible coaching.

That can't be gauged by this announcement. The lad may love Wakey and want to continue playing for them as long as he can. He may also have a transfer fee and NRL clause in there somewhere. No one really knows these days. Good luck to the lad.

You also have to factor in the possible impact on the welfare of Kirkmond's Pouch if TJ leaves for another club.

He’s still a young lad, if he develops he’ll have his chances. Maybe he feels he owes something to the club that’s nursed him through two serious injuries.

Maybe Wakefield have a feeling that a SL club will be making a play for him and that getting him to sign a long term contract can add a couple of quid to his value. Didn’t Leeds do something similar with Harris just before Union came calling.

Its good that he's staying. Wakefield need to be able to hang on to good players as long as possible if they are to maintain and improve on their current standing and ambition  so that more players want to join.

Really pleased with this news.

Tom is joint 3rd in the try scoring list despite:

  • Having recently returned from a major long term injury.
  • Being "rested" for several games early season.
  • Playing outside Bill "die with the ball or score an outstanding individual try" Tupou.
  • Wakey having a poor season.

It's not been easy.

Hat trick tomorrow please  🙏

Relocating here could be an option.

Have Wakefield had a poor season? They haven't matched last year obviously, but they are on track to finish 6th to 8th, which is about what they would have been expected to do.

It’s  a no brainier really Johnstone signs and he gets more money while Wakefield retain his services or in the event of relegation or financial troubles the club cashes in big time cos he’s on a long contract.

I'll bet relegation will kick in a get out clause so doubt it will make any difference there.
