REACTION | Horne pleased to get the job done

Recommended Posts

Richard Horne was pleased to keep the momentum going after the Dons beat London Skolars 38-6 at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The win helped to consolidate their place in the Betfred League One play-off places, with five rounds of the regular season remaining.

He said: “It was a bit of a scrappy game but we got the job done,  it’s a big period coming up so this win sets us up for that.

“We spoke about a good start against a side London and we got that, we got around them and posted some points.

“It was a very stop-start game and went on longer than it probably needed to, we had some stoppages for no real reason which affected our momentum.”

The Dons scored four first-half tries against the Skolars, and Horne was impressed with the way in which his side opened their opponents up going forward.

He said: “We’ve got some great strike players who are in good form and long may that continue, we just have to keep going now.

“Jack Logan is a good player to have on the edge and he’s got a lot of quality for this league, he offers us some power and pace down the right.”
