Graham 1,357 Report post Posted August 24, 2018 (edited) Last week Cameron Munster took the deliberately long slow walk to the touchline after he was sin binned, meaning the game was held up for what seemed an eternity. This week the same happened again when Brad Takairangi did the self same thing. It really is cocking a snook at the rules - it is an insult to the game. Takairangi showed his disrespect for our game even more by tortoising his way to the edge of the pitch by the half way line and then sprinting down the tunnel. Surely it is time to cut this out of the game. This sort of mickey taking should be rewarded by giving the player concerned a further penalty - say another five minutes in the bin or even a full sending off. The rule makers need to act on this fast. It's a farce as it is. Edited August 24, 2018 by Graham

Yep, a player requiring discipline measures like ten in the bin, then acting in further disrepute by sauntering off should be a full send off.

Totally agree with that. Once the refs sent off a player or two, they'll get the message.

Clogiron 469 Report post Posted September 3, 2018 (edited) Exactly, a better way and with more chance of being implemented would be to give the offender 7secs to get off the pitch then a sniper in the coaches box takes aim. The only problem would be preventing Craig Bellamy using it on his own player's when they make a mistake! Edited September 3, 2018 by Clogiron Error

DavidM 5,120 Report post Posted September 3, 2018 (edited) Ten seconds to get off ... Add a minute for every second after that . It’s a wind up , like not walking off on the far side you’re nearest to , or walking sulkily down the edge of the pitch Edited September 3, 2018 by DavidM

Lounge Room Lizard 1,901 Report post Posted September 4, 2018 I would like to see the yellow turn to red if they dont get off after 10 seconds. Theres no excuse for it and is a deliberate delaying tactic. Its so annoying as a fan to see any player do it and even more so that nothing is currently being done to stop it. Can only hope changes come for next year.
