Well you would have to Punch Hard if you wanted to Fry Stone. Mind you with initials MP he should be good at passing things on.

Okay, JC, I give in. You are the winner!!!.

Dakota Whylie conformed on a seasons loan for 18/19.

O.K. with that it would be nice if we could get Harry Newman on a years loan as well.Big rebuilding job at Leeds can't see him playing more than a handfull of games for them. His career would benefit from playing every week in the Championship, the first game i saw him play at Batley i said what a tremendous prospect he is.

Why not cut out the middleman and watch Leeds?

Newman look good in a Fax shirt next season.

Given Leeds are likely to want to keep him, can’t see any prospect of him playing for Fax. If he was to leave, it would be to another SL club not Fax.

Just hope that Leeds don't loan him out to Bradford if they are in the Championship next season.Newman seems to enjoy playing with us and i think a season in the Champioship playing every week would enable him to step into the Leeds team the season after.Even then he would still be under 20 and he may have filled out his frame.

Is this "I'm on a pointless wind-up", or "I know something you guys don't but I'm not telling you"?

Just stating a fact that I wouldn't mind him at Fax as IMO we could do with a couple of centres.

Back to the Boas brothers...Watson has been named in the PNG Prime Minister's Team (effectively the International team) for the game against Australia next month, but Ase Boas has been left out.

Comments from PNG head coach (who is also head coach of the PNG Hunters, for whom the Boas brothers played in the Queensland Cup):

Head coach Michael Marum said this after NGCB chief executive officer Imelda Agon named the 18-member team at the Oil Search National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.

Marum said Boas’ form of late has been poor after sustaining injuries during the season and that is the reason why he was dropped from the squad.

“Ase hasn’t been playing well in the last few games.
“He played well last year, this year he struggled a bit with injuries and he has put on weight.

“And I have spoken to him a lot of times about it,” Marum said.

He said, Boas will however be going away to England to play in the third tier competition so hopefully he plays well and gets up to the Super League to be considered in the future.

Let's hope Ase gets himself fit, in both respects, before he arrives here in January.

Yeah I know...on the PNG Hunters FB page there was a long argument when they signed about whether we were 2nd or 3rd tier...it was at the time we had just started the Shield I think and people were thinking Super 8s is tier 1, Qualifiers is tier 2 so Shield is tier 3.
