1. Escare

4. Ader

5. Marion

6. Robin

7. Fages

I’d go for that backline or something similar.

By the way Marion isn't a winger

Assume they meant Marcon.

That France pack is something else!

Sangare, Yesa, Salabio, Mendy and Mickalezyk are big guys.

Also, Romain Puso. The type of centre we lack, he was born in 1997 and dear oh dear isn't he a unit.

As you picked me up for a mistake, there’s a few players in that team who aren’t in the squad and one who is now playing another sport... 😉

A unit as in GI/Mitchell or a unit as in Yaha?

Do you think Mickalezyk is good enough to play for TO or the Dragons? Is he playing well enough? From what I heard he isn't playing to his early potential.

Season's finished for Garcia and Bousquet: both have had operations. Question mark too for Casty fitness. Simon finished with international game while Maria wants to sit this one out. Think Cologni has spoken to both Miloudi and Pelissier but feels maybe too early for them to return. The latter would offer a lot I think in the back line. TO centre partnership of Ader-Marguerite could be worth a punt at this stage. Lance Todd Trophy winner Gigot should have first call at full back? Escare has played on the wing for Wigan. In the halves Fages-Albert utilised in the WC but with Robin coming up on the rails. Other issue is availability for the Saints player and Wigan pair re- GF possibility four days before England game.

Back row long term looks promising with a trio of Jullien, Garcia and Goudemand and not forgetting Baitieri too. The young former Avignon lad has lived up to all expectations. A Wembley Cup medal after half a dozen or so games. Navarette having an exceptional season at Wigan should earn a place upfront along with who. Young Belmas has caught McNamara's eye of late may get a look in too. Da Costa could share hooker rule with Marion outstanding for TO?

A pack containing Joule, Pascal and Coulomb would be impressive.  Three units there :)

Nah, Joule doesn't have the energy for 80 mins, Pascal crumbles under pressure and Coulomb has been charged by disciplinary.

Casty has retired from international rl

So basically that's the whole of France's front row retired or sitting out....great.

why are they playing Serbia out of interest? A full France team should annihilate Serbia.

No disrespect intended - the Serbs are working really hard on development, but they are basically playing in a park-level competition. (in fact some matches take place actually in a park).

Any highlights for Puso? Never seen him play before.

Turning a page on this maybe. Front rowers Casty, Simon and Maria in their 30's now. Who will be lining-up hopefully come 2021. Sangare and Belmas 20/21 yrs old have size and potential. See Levy Nzoungou has joined Hull FC for 2019 too. Marion ( impressive last night against Salford) along with Da Costa for the hooking role?

Well again national team hurt by withdrawals. Will again cop pasting from england i say. Top 17 who available

Escare, bergal, ader, Marguerite, marcon, gigot, fages, Navarette, marion, belmas, julian, Goudemand, baiteri.

Int - da costa, curran, Sangare, yesa.

Not a overly strong 17 inexperienced. Not sure what doing with springer and Levy Nzoungou but being both at sl clubs bringing in system is wise. Miloudi would strengthen squad out wide.

I say they will when the 2 games they need to for world cup qualification. But england game may be ugly.

Seems to be a common theme with France. Every year a large number of players withdraw from the squad. They will never challenge the top international teams until the culture changes.

Yeah unfortnately yes. To lose simon, casty, bouquet, garcia yeah they be uncompetitive v tier 1 nations there. Yes they have gigot, escare, fages who are very good players but games are won up the middle.

Very inexperienced up front romain Navarette only recognised prop.

So current unavailable pro players - garcia, maria, bousquet.

Retirements - simon, casty.

Non selection in prelim squad - springer, miloudi, pelissier, kheriilah, larroyer, Nzoungou. All have pro deals.
