It is very early days. But what if London avoids the drop?

I’m not sure what you mean if London avoid the drop someone else goes down.

If London avoids the drop it will be one of the greatest refutations of the "received wisdom" in the history of British rugby league.

Some rich pickings in the pre match comments on this thread.

Some absolute gems in that lot, real signature material.

Well done London. Tremendous result for the competition and I hope it's the first of many.

Brough in the sin bin!

I remember being as surprised when I found out Frank Carson was Irish.

So was I, I though he was British as he was born in Belfast.

Hes as Irish as Danny Brough is Scottish......

Think it was 6-12 at one stage so London were never 18 points down but don't let that spoil your enjoyment. B)

He's from the other side of the Irish Sea so that'll do me.

I pretty sure that's the kind of question that nobody is really that bothered about.

Irish born people, north or south of the border, aren’t British.

Well that was unexpected! And a whole lot of fun!

Looked ominous after 20 minutes, with Wakefield scoring a few tries following penalties/handling mistakes from the Broncos, but from them on there was only one side looking likely to win it. London's attack opened Wakefield up constantly, on both sides of the field, and we really ripped into them. Wakefield reverted more and more to simply giving it to Fifita and hoping he'd blow a hole in the defence (and he was very difficult to get hold of tbh). Brought lost the plot, but by that point the game was already gone for them.

Excellent performances all around from the Broncos, they really dug in and fought for every inch of field position and every tackle. Special mentions for Battye and Walker who I thought were superb.

After 10mins I was thinking I would rather be winning game sin the Championship, but ..... grit, a change in game plan and a building of confidence turned things around.

What a win. It felt like we were back in SL. In a ground that is modest but the right size for now, looking full and still being developed. Rich from some Trin fans slagging off the ground ! Great atmosphere and if anyone with a London affiliation left not wanting more, then they don't have  a pulse.

Battye was immense, Abdull really impressed, Williams loving the opportunity ....one or two who looked out of their depth but on the whole WONDERFUL.

Well done to Trinity fans for their excellent support.

Great result for London, the way some Wakey fans have been going on in pre season, this will be a bitter pill to swallow no doubt!

How can you be British if you’re born in Belfast?   Ireland and Britain are two distinct separate islands! ?

And at a guess I’d say he’s probably Irish ethnicity not Ulster Scots ?

You know Britain refers to the island chain right?

I think you mean British Isles not Britain.

Great Britain = England, Scotland and Wales.

United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island = above plus Northern Island.

British Isles (geographically) includes the whole of Ireland and the Channel Islands but is purely a geographical description.

You gave me three definitions, all of which can be referred to as "Britain"

Broncos may not have the best players in SL but after today's performance they may put in a bid for best team. Lots of guts and no little flair. Battye and Ioane showed they are SL props. Bring on Salford. Now where is the guy who said London had the worst squad in SL history?
