This chatter came up yesterday on the TWP Facebook page. What, if any, other evidence is there for this rumour?

Not trying to be provocative, but who is saying this?

Quote

Toronto Wolfpack owner David Argyle says the club are on the verge of signing one of the biggest names in rugby union, League Weekly have reported.

Many players have been linked with Canadian club on social media, but its seems that global sporting superstar Sonny Bill Williams is the name on everyone’s lips.

Going by Twitter, Argyle said it.  One of the top 5 rugby players in the world, apparently - and thinking about it, isn’t there some form of salary cap dispensation for RU players?

Media can write anything.  Yorkshire Post quoted Fifita to Leeds a few days ago, then wrote another story today saying it was all untrue.  That said, just talk of that kind of money being available will generate Agent interest.

What about the Rugby World Cup coming up

Well he will be 36 by then but I suppose he could have a crack at selection for the Kiwis.

Play in an English/French/Canadian League, based in Toronto, Ontario CANADA and play the majority of their games in that country.

Talk about false news.
