Round 5 — London Skolars

Recommended Posts

Looks like plenty of excitement ahead this season, following yesterday's quite surprising results. Only Hunslet with a 100% record so all to play for in the weeks ahead.

Strange game today. I would say we were in control without actually dominating the game. Blew three or four chances in the first half when we actually played really well but then took all of our chances in the second half when we were nowhere near as good. Defence was very good with the only try coming from a kick.

Kershaw was fantastic and full deserved his MOM award. Started the season slowly but has been getting better and better and was super today. Brook and Hawkyard were quality as well with McComb scoring his customary try. Owen was a lot better today and his first stint in particular was excellent.

Was a bit disappointed in London as they normally play with great intensity and throw the ball about but aside from a few individuals they didn't throw too much at us.
