There's nothing in the rules that states you have to have two markers. One is perfectly acceptable - and is sometimes used (esp if the tackled man is close to the line).

I thought that the try Fisher scored for Hull KR was a direct result of the attacker moving off the mark that then created the necessary space and split second confusion as to whether the defenders could tackle Fisher.
What to do? Is to penalise the attacker too harsh? Allow the defenders to tackle but you can't be absolutely sure they were in line as the attacker moved forwards and sideways? That would create another grey area and 50:50 calls.
