You can just lend/borrow players for a shorter time basically. They turn up half an hour before the game and get introduced to their team mates.

that sounds particularly ######

Predictions for the future -
Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

I promise to pay 10 to the charity of Bomb Jacks choice if Widnes Millionaires finish above the battling underdogs Crusaders RL. I OWE A TENNER!

I'm massively against dual reg, it does'nt serve anyone except the financial directors and accountants of Sl clubs.

In terms of junior developments its one of the biggest backward steps I can ever recall in 4 decades of being involved.

To be fair, I've probably exaggerated.

Saints were the club that were strongly opposed to scrapping the u21's, Leeds (Gary Hetherington) was not surprisingly in the other camp and wanted to get rid. After a lot if discussion, Leeds got their own way. Sadly it appears Hetherington's powers of persuasion are strong when it comes to telling other clubs what they need.

I watched Gary's interview on Boots 'N All and, to be fair, I could see a lot of the points he was making - like "raiding" (bit of hyperbole there) the community game for players just to make teams up.

Still didn't agree with the outcome, though.
