It seems strange to be moaning when we haven't lost a single game to any team outside of the top group, but it is frustrating when we have seen at times how good a side we can be.  Although everyone clearly worked hard at Leigh there didn't seem to be the intensity in defence that we usually muster. Maybe that's because it was a mid week game and guys had been working?  I also have the impression that we make more metres with ball in hand than other top teams, thanks no doubt to scoots from dummy half by Flanagan and the wingers as well as hard work from the props; but the kick on the last tackle is often way short of the distance gained by opponents and so all the effort with ball in hand often counts for nought.  The other flaw is that we seem to have run out of ideas in the opposition 25.  The team often seem more dangerous from further out.

I thought that Johnny Cambell was the pick of the backs and Davies, Rowe and Flanagan all caught my eye in the forwards (others will no doubt differ).  Has anyone seen the replay of Cambells' disallowed try?  There looked to be a reasonable case for a penalty try watching from the stand.

It will be interesting to see what team is picked against Featherstone, but Hemingway and Maun maybe deserve a recall?

As to the starting theme of the thread, the ref, there looked to be bad calls for both teams; but I would have had to watch the game on TV and as a neutral to make a fair comment.
