moorside roughyed
Hard one this one. We definitely have to be better than Mondays performance. Anyone fancy putting their head on the block?(predictions anyone?). Personally I'm a little doubtful about this one.

BryanC
Someone's got out of bed on the wrong side... Halifax - very surprised if we get anything. Whitehaven - can't see us losing that one if we keep 13 on the pitch. Dewsbury - anyone's guess, think we may just nick it.
roughyed34
Typical optimism eclecticsheep, why wont we win another game? We need to regroup,do the basics well like we were doing before the two disasters and cut out the penalties. No reason why we can't beat Fax MR its all about the mental attitude of the players, when we believe in ourselves we go well. Fax are blooding some youngsters, hopefully our team will have the players who have missed out last couple of weeks back in to shake it up a bit. I'm not over confident tbh about Fax,its always a tough game there, but a fighting and full blooded performance will do me, I will go Fax 26 Oldham 18. I'm confident that we will beat Haven next week to guarantee survival if its not already confirmed this weekend.
eclecticsheep
As you say above...mental attitude. Oldham already think enough has been done...I hope that is right
HomeOfTheTubularBandage
I can see sheep's point. They feel they can't make the top four. They believe they won't be caught by the bottom two. Nothing to play for. No motivation. Last two performances and scorelines and discipline have been indicative of this. We might beat Haven cos they are a very poor side. Can see us getting spanked in the other two.

Dave Naylor
Fax can't be caught and they can't catch Bradford. We could do with nailing Championship status sooner rather than later so you'd hope we'd have more incentive than Fax who are effectively treading water until the semi-final. I'd also like to finish the season above Swinton who have a tough conclusion to their own campaign and potentially won't accrue any more points. Potentially, Swinton could win all 3 remaining games too Mr Naylor. However, realistically we're looking at 2 - perhaps 4 points. In any case, whether finishing 9th or 10th we'd both remain in this Division. If I were you I'd be more nervous about how Haven perform over the coming weeks. There is potential for your Championship survival to be in Swintons hands come the last game of the season. Let's just hope you beat them before we have to for our own sake! I get that, I wasn't dissing Swinton, I just want my team to finish above yours. If Whitehaven string two wins together I think both yourselves and Oldham will have a dose of jangly nerves on the last Sunday. If Haven lose at Dewsbury this weekend though it's happy days for us both. I've written off Worky, they're toast now.
m brooksy
I reckon we can win on Sunday. We didn't play very well there earlier in the season and only lost by 6 points. Halifax until last Sunday were going through a bad patch. Turner should be back as well as Hughes and Joy back in the team definitely makes us stronger. I'd probably put Turner at centre instead of Johnson and keep Lippy at full back for probably his last game of the season. Gutted I cant make this one as there aren't many games left. Dave Naylor
James Mendeika may feature. Scott was saying that he'd strained a muscle unconnected with his old knee injury otherwise he would have been in contention last Sunday. I was thinking that Johnson came back for the one game since we were light in the centres and that was his season swansong for us.
andykenny
It ain't over till its over and hearing Scott Naylor frustration last Sunday he will be on to the players big time.He was giving Dave Hewitt stick for letting the hookers do what they want. Also he was berating the team for not sticking to the game plan and letting the opposition run onto them.If the intensity is there they can win but if not its proof that they have switched off and they think they are home and dry.Its not the way to be. moorside roughyed
Your right 34,it is about mental attitude. But if the mentality is like what we saw on Monday I think will struggle. Monday's game reminded me of the game in Blackpool. We do well when the boys are focused on playing.I'm sure they'll give them a game.If they pull off a win then fantastic and I will consider myself told. Dave Naylor
I put the match video online tonight. Bit delayed this week since I was waiting for the nod from Fax. http://www.roughyeds.co.uk/match_video/halifax-v-oldham-shield-game/ There's no commentary. I'd love to organise some sort of online feed from away games using something like Mixlr. On the list I suppose
