Official Hand Over to Farm Duck......

Recommended Posts

Thanks, Mr Duck.  It is quiet this evening, post a thing or two until the lazy Brits get out of bed.

Thanx Bob. I haven't got anything to say right now. If you look at my betting account this week, I clearly know absolutely nothing about RL.

I jumped out of bed at lunch time, full of anticipation for the next chapters in NRL's current soapies - the alleged Corey Norman sex video and the other one, the alleged Brisbane player allegedly snorting alleged coke off a toilet seat. What did I find? Nothing. Very disappointing. After all, this is Sydney and anyone in the public eye should be able to rely on some well-known underworld figure, betting tout, brothel-keeper or disgraced former detective to come forward and declare that there's nothing to see here and we should all move on.

At the very least, a RL players should be able to call on a Z-Grade celebrity - maybe someone knocked out in the early rounds of Australia's Got Too Much Spare Time - to stand up and admit that the drugs, bets or bags of spare cash were actually theirs, or that they were driving when the nun and the crippled orphans stupidly flung themselves in front of the speeding car.

But no, nothing. So I'm stuck here with a 23° winter's day and not single cloud in the sky and nowhere to be and nothing to do. I can't live like this.

Oh come on! You're loving it really!

Actually, it sounds like most of my days except the temperature here is in the 30s.

I do sympathise, though. It is a hard life.  ;)

I know what it gets like in Greece. I got stuck there for a week once, waiting for a flight. They had a heat wave and it was over 40° every day for a week and, because of the air pollution, people were dying.

I find myself signed off work for two weeks and suddenly we get the best weather of the year, 27 degrees here in the New Forest today.

It's a rough life sometimes  B)

Same here, it gets down to 27 at night.

It's best to avoid Athens in the hot weather. It's also best to avoid Athens in the cold weather. In fact, it's best to avoid Athens.

So temperatures between 23 and 40 degrees I hope you guys have got good central heating. 23 degrees is 9 degrees of frost, thats seriously cold.

You ought to come across to England its in the 80-90's here at the mo.

Ah! Good old Farenheit. No wonder the temperatures were better when I was a child!

I'm 63 now. I wonder what that would be in real degrees?

Answers on a postcard. :(

Well, Farmduck, you have not missed much.

A bunch of red Tories plotting against Corbyn and they still cannot accept the EU referendum result.  Same old, same old.

I also passed through Athens and its second best point from what I saw was that I could get to Patras from there.

I will be over in Sydney in a couple of months.  Can you recommend any watering holes?

As I met Mrs shadow in the marble bar in the Sydney Hilton I am duty bound to recommend it, although that was in 1982 so it may have changed since then.

I remember having a really nice kebab in Patras after catching the overnight ferry there from Corfu. I then went to Athens, did the tourist bits, then got the hell out of there and went to Corinth for a few days.

Greece is damn hot....or it was when I was there but they still used drachma then and their economy hadn't gone t!ts up.....

Nothing happened in Duck World today so here's one from a couple of days ago. One of my sisters had a nearly 100% black lamb born on her farm.

Reminds me of a riddle question I read in a comic 60 years ago

Why do white sheep give more wool than black sheep?

Just how many poisonous spiders are also in this one photo?

She never bothers about the spiders on her place because the snakes eat them all. If you recall the movie "Snakes on a Plane," the main reaction in OZ was, "Duh! Of course there are snakes on planes. How else could you get rid of all the poisonous spiders?"

According to the hypnic jerk thread, the posters are all jerking (on and off) in bed at the moment
