  1. 3412 rounds down to 3000 so its around 3000 as stated. Pedantic post by yourself but ok....
  2. Where do they train, whats the costs of this, where is the admin staff based plus cost, where do youth teams etc play and train plus cost.. Not owning any offices , training grounds or property is always going to put you on the backfoot..
  3. Is there room for a marquee behind the stand? Temporary corporate with seats added to the main stand and some of the main stand moved to the redeveloped east expansion ? Another option is to sell 10 year tickets for corporate, 1000 tickets averaging 800 pound (presuming the plan is for expansion on a varied product of lounges) is 8 million, would provide upfront capital although would be a tough 10 years..
  4. A quick search of a list of professional sports leagues globally has the NRL at 27th, SL at 86th and the United rugby championship at 107... Super rugby (pro union down under) at 71 Premiership rugby at 39 French top division at 31 So NRL is the most valuable Rugby league Interestingly aussie rules was 19th! So SL more valuable the the United rugby championship and they fly all over for games... Toronto is around 3000km from Manchester Auckland is around 2500km to Sydney
  5. Turnover and profit are 2 different things.. why is their turnover so big and etc, plus what does that have to do with saints affording a flight to Toronto once a year ?
  6. SL is a richer comp. Yes SA is established and has player production in place, its a seperate and mute point to the one that SL can't afford a NA team due to costs.
  7. Oh I know, its the bit where someone came in with a business plan to continue with the club AND pay off the debts, and SL turned them down, so when people complain about players not getting paid yes it was the initial owners however ultimately it was the decision to exclude the new owners that prevented creditors and players their settlements.
  8. Rugby league small scale ? Its a bigger comp than the pro14 or whatever its called in union, with flights from Ireland, Scotland Wales, Italy and now SA. Clubs employ admin people, its half a day once a season, you wouldn't get a stag do organiser complaining. The visa issue, well if people have been naughty boys thats their problem.
  9. Saints is 13500, hospitality virtually sold out, happy with that but still work to do
  10. Sometimes less is more, if your games are selling out every week people are buying tickets earlier causing quicker sell outs making the games more must see. Its a positive viscious circle. I would only increase further when there's a waiting list for tickets. Otherwise a stadium too large and you run the risk of looking like the other Hull lot who are now wishing they had a smaller stadium. Hospitality expansion should be the next target before ordinary tickets, its worth noting a hospitality ticket sale is worth 5 regular tickets and a hospitality ST equals a regular soccer ST
  11. Toronto in SL with a league sat below would have been the best outcome. We pretty much have that structure in the UK and in France (and Australia)
  12. Whats the other side then ? Why did the SL say no twice to a takeover Would an English club have played in America and base a squad in America with all the visa issues etc..
  13. The owners of Toronto at the time didn't pay / couldn't pay but they felt hard done to by the RFL / SL who told them to relocate to UK during covid. The potential new owner would have settled every outstanding debt but was told to go away. So he did. The RFL / SL had an opportunity to politically sort all the problems.. but chose not to. That is on the RFL / SL. Toronto effectively went bust and guess what creditors and staff do not get paid in full when this happens.
