  1. Rovers 21 man squad named With Day and Roberts suspended, and Lacans, Bussey, Massey and Arnold injured, our squad is bolstered by Fishwick and Gorman from Hull Kr. With Aekins, Gorman and Turner set to be 1, 7 and 14, it'll be interesting to see who plays where. Perhaps Gorman will be at centre, Bowes and Turner the halves, and Hardcastle 2nd row with England/Tomlinson in the absence of Day. Kamano back, so one out of him, Springer, Tanner, Albert and Yei may miss out assuming Fishwick is picked
  2. That's a surprisingly acceptable list over 20 years. Far from ideal, but still. Difficult to reconcile this list with the idea in my head that we seem to have seen very little of Eng/GB v Australia in the past decade or so.
  3. He's noticeably increased the number of minutes he's regularly on the field in 2024. He's a huge presence and offers great go-forward. One of the best props in the league.
  4. Judicious use of inverted commas there. Genuine unknown for me. Wasn't that big EGM with its badly organised vote all about changing the club's constitution and the respective status and value of the A and B shares?
  5. I can't imagine they've ever been sold on the open market. Almost worthless. But in large quantities they give you power and control of the club. The key question is if and how he wants or needs to take all that money out again.
  6. It's a strong looking squad with just Bussey, Kamano, Arnold and Roberts not selected. The key will be to see if Lacans, Tanner and Massey are fit to return and if Yei and Turner are ready to start their 2024. Those five will make a big difference either way.
  7. Neither of us (unlike some keyboard warriors apparently) are financial experts and access to information to able to judge the club's accounts is difficult. The club may well be near to its maximum level of credit that it can obtain. Simply borrowing more may not be an option. It is not really clear who the club owes money to and how much. The chairman may be a major creditor. The land will have been used to guarantee loans. One thing I think we agree on is that everyone should be paid the money that is owed to them. Not to do so is wrong. Some people are owed some money by Featherstone. That's embarrassing for the club and needs sorting. The reason for that is the club is now itself (for whatever reason that may be) short of money .
  8. It hurt me grievously. But if there are still people who haven't moved on from 1995, that's problematic for them.
  9. The launch of SL was a fiasco. But it was 29 years ago.
  10. I'm definitely not pointing fingers. Plenty other people queuing up to do that. I know nothing of the internal workings of the club. Very few people do. According to the publicly available lists, the biggest shareholder of the club would surprise you given your previous comment. All clubs have loans and debts. All clubs.
