London (H)

Well it's strangely quiet on here - has everyone left?

London on Sunday will offer an interesting test. Second in the league says that it should be an easy win for them but the fact that they lost heavily last weekend exposes the gulf between Leigh and the rest. We also have a good record over them in recent years but whether that counts for anything is anyone's guess. Add to that the ease with which they beat us last season in the Shield semis and the outcome looks likely to be disappointing once more (no doubt with plenty of positives for the coaching staff, however).

It's fast becoming a 'nothing' season...........no realistic chance of seriously competing for the Shield (especially if Bulls don't make Top4): we are massively inconsistent in our performances: there seems to be little or no information coming out of the club: we've a Head Coach who clearly wants to be elsewhere and players joining us who can only be after a final pay packet to their career.......... An Ex-England international who obviously can't be bothered to get himself fit................ Need I go on ???

Does anybody really care now...........Roll on 2017 with a few changes - hopefully.

The spark has gone -- if it was ever there this year.

Nail and head spring to mind. At the start of every season I find myself thinking avoiding relegation will be a result. Thacks made the difference last year and we over achieved, this year we should avoid the drop - just, next year on lower resources I'm really worried. If GM does go, it won't be a disaster.

Be careful what you wish for!!   Whatever we think  of GM, he has a good reputation, and that helps to attract and retain players that otherwise wouldn't consider playing for us!!

I just think our season was derailed when Reynolds was recalled and also by supporting a reserve side which clearly disadvantaged us in the recruitment budget...  especially compared to the dogs!!   without the reserves, who knows Brambani and Walker might have signed for us , or maybe we could have afforded JS!!  .....  then what would the season have looked like?

Good reputation TONO? How do you work that out? Certainly a good player in his day but hasn't broken any pots in management yet! Perhaps the improvement on our side of the valley has made his job harder this season?

Two sweeping statements made entirely on the basis of ignorance wins this weeks prize.

Do you seriously believe that GM is circulating rumours himself, rather than it being another example of typically lazy journalism when pulling out a list of suspects when any job becomes vacant? No, you're probably right, he must want to be elsewhere.

I assume that you are referring to Paul Sykes who has been carrying an injury all season, has shown enormous commitment to the club in my opinion, and who I hope to see in a Dewsbury shirt again next season. Can't be bothered - right!

London have re-signed Jamie Soward pending the approval of his visa, let's hope it isn't approved before Sunday.  ;)

It won't be in time to get his clearance I presume. It might just serve to motivate the present incumbent though.

I seriously believe that GM gave an interview clearly stating that he would love the Bradford job.............and I also believe that he applied for the New Zealand job............and I may be wrong but I don't recall him distancing himself when linked with the Wakefield job. I wouldn't class that as a 'sweeping statement based on ignorance'

As regards the England international, I stand corrected...... I was referring to Karl Pryce but acknowledge that he hasn't actually appeared as an International, though was selected for the GB 4 Nations squad without actually playing.

Paul Sykes, on the other hand, I would agree entirely with your comment.............and moreso, if / when Morro moves on, I think Paul Sykes would be an ideal candidate to replace him as Coach at the club.

"...a head coach who clearly wants to be elsewhere" obviously means that GM is desperate to leave. If you meant that he was keen to progress his career (unlike any normal person) then why not say so.

KP has a chronic complaint that prevents him from training properly as distinct from "....can't be bothered to get himself fit." Whether he should have been offered a contract for this season is a moot point but please don't join the rabble in constantly accusing him of being lazy.

I don't know PS personally but my subjective opinion is that he isn't really coach material. I look forward to him proving me completely wrong.

Team selection will be interesting ....   could be Goulding at 7 Kain at 6 and Sykes in the centre ....  or  Kain at 7  Sykes at 6 and Walshaw at centre .....   one is a risk the other is predictable!!! .....  what do you think would be the best combination?

And does Faz get a look in??

Sykes has been outstanding for us this season. Pryce isn't fit but he doesn't give penalties away, doesn't get sin binned, doesn't drop the ball, gives good passes and generally defends well. Pryce at 50% is better than some at 100%. Look at last Sunday, we draw level then Crookes gives away the matc winning penalty in front of the posts, when we are in possession with a pointless obstruction. It was Crookes second needless penalty of the game though he did score the opening try. Pryce doesn't make mistakes, Crookes makes costly mistakes.

Faz would get a look in if he hadn't broken his arm. Out for another couple of weeks yet I believe.

It wasn't Crookes fault it was the man with the ball, Ryan Hepworth. Regards Hepworth I look forward to the day he actually breaks a tackle.

Hepworth's a good guy as to regards as player we've had probably two good season's out of him.

No disrespect to him though i would look to move him on next season think we need more quality at prop

I think props are most useful when working together. It isn't the effectiveness of them as individuals, but how they work together. Hepworth looked decent against us, and l thought he would be useful in tandem with another tough prop. Look at Lillycrop. Having a great season.

Is that the Lillycrop we let go? Surely not?

Another clueless performance today, never thought i say this but we missed Kain today.

Positives today, Guzdek never gave up,Farrell looked fully fit for the Bulldogs next year.

Well done to the groundsman for the pitch by the way.
