...Until the end of the regular season has us playing 8 games, with 6 of the opposition above us in the league ladder and 2 of the sides below us.

We have only managed to put 2 consecutive wins together and that was at the very start of the season when we defeated Workington, away, the side currently rooted at the bottom of The Championship, and Halifax at home, after 'Fax squandered a plethora of chances.

Our next game, this Sunday,is at The MBi Shay, and follows on from the home sides confidence-boosting 37-0 victory over Featherstone.

The victory for Halifax followed a 31-0 victory for Featherstone,at Dewsbury, the Sunday previous.

It would certainly be nice, and wholly surprising,if Sheffield Eagles can do a Featherstone on Halifax and have them kept to nil and lose by a considerable score, just a week after themselves winning by a similar scoreline.

There is also interest in off-field activities with the hope of some good news concerning a new stadium on the site of the old Don Valley complex at The Olympic Legacy Park.

It would be nice to look towards an increase in confidence on the field, and some momentum going towards the Championship Shield coupled with off-field boosts along the way.

The final third of the regular season.Every minute will soon be mattering and every scintilla of uplifting performance on-field,and good news from off-field,will gladden the hearts of each and every supporter of the club.

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

There is talk of Sheffield being in serious financial trouble. How true is it?

As just an individual who watches the games I cannot answer your question fully.

Since the club was forced from the Don Valley stadium it seems an investor has paid into the club.

This ceased happening at the start of this season. This coincides with the chairman of the past 17 years, leaving the club at the end of this season, and he has put some money into the club which will ensure it survives until the end of this season.

The club is interested in finding new investment.

As an individual who watches the games,I feel it is far too early to panic.

The board of directors have had some time to seek investment and the new stadium, given its location and the investors who have involved themselves in the new projects around the site, should be a good opportunity to find some interest.

If its not broken .... why fix it???    Sheffield had a good team last year ... a team of good part time players ... and reasonably successful!!

I know al about  hindsight !!  but what has going full time done for Sheffield?

relegation is becoming a reality  ....  cash that could have been used to develop the club has been squandered .. and the ongoing financial drain is frightening potential investors away!!

As I said I know all about hindsight ....  but was this really necessary?

I don't think going full time has been the problem. Why should it be a problem?

Having a very small squad has been a problem.

The uncertainty about the boardroom has been a problem.

The uncertainty about a new stadium has been, and is a problem.

I may be wrong, but I don't think soccer clubs who have moved stadia,in recent years, have had that much success just prior to leaving.

Having to get a squad of predominantly young players to gel in such a short time against the backdrop of those issues mentioned above has caused the problems.

What in the name of God is a full time outfit such as yours doing in a similar position to us.Not having a go,just curious. It must be soul destroying for the fans to see the wheels come off like this.

It's a club in transition on and off the field at the same time.

There is a far more dramatic turnaround at Leeds and they get large attendances and have lots of money available.

No one can point me in the direction of any club - be it rugby league or the round ball game - who have changed to a new stadium and enjoyed success at the place they have just left before going to their new stadia.

The signing of 11 mainly young players has to be taken cautiously.I think some are playing injured and some need resting to prevent burn-out.Even the fans favourite at Everton FC,Wayne Rooney, was regularly rested as a young player even though he always wanted to play.

I think Oldham themselves have used more players, dual reg and loan included, than Sheffield Eagles have, this season.

It's sport. It goes in cycles.Always enjoyable and interesting.

Nice when the good guys win.I'm checking to see whether the MRP miss as much as the officials did on Friday night.

Oldham still deserved their win.Enjoy the rest of the campaign. Will it be the first time 2 promoted sides both remain in the Championship?

Will they both be remaining in The Championship?

      Every minute matters.
