Match thread London v Featherstone Sunday 25th September 2016

The Phantom Horseman

Recommended Posts

As suggested by JS in the P & C this week, the team picks itself this week, with one of the 19-man squad named today (Ormondroyd) already apparently ruled out by JS and Robbie Ward presumably carrying the water again, with the remaining 17 in the 19-man squad the same 17 that played last week.

Let's hope the lads have one final effort in them, London have done very well this season and no arguments about their position in the table, but we beat them easily twice and might have done so a third time but for three quick injuries in the 2nd half at Ealing. We've beaten them five out of the last six meetings so it would be nice to continue that stranglehold.

We have got to give it our all. After all its our last game so it doesnt really matter if slight injuries happen as we dont play again till next year and also its the last match for some of our players so weve nowt to lose so lets give it all weve got leave nothing on the pitch after the game and im quietly we can finish with a win and an extra 50 000 UTR

We all know that the seasons objective has been acheived but that was frankly a disgrace today

Fans definately short changed by the players today

How people can give a fev MoM after that is beyond belief

What a disappointing way to end the season

Forget man of the match today it was a shameful performance lets put a line under it and hope that next season will be slightly better without ghe deadwood that we have at the monent and i am sick of those fans which say that after being slugged by 70 points that we played well .you are not on this planet.

Well JS you have stated that the qualifiers were a great learning curve for our players. What are you going to say in the press tomorrow regarding this debacle at London against a team , on paper, of equal ability.

It's all about building and improving year on year We improved this year compared to last with a small squad and some bad injuries to certain players Lets carry on backing the club and hoping we do better next year and not do what Halifax have done after finishing in top four They just showed that if the right decisions are not made you can easily fall away from being in the 4 the following year

As expected another day off for the fev players NO not an off day a day off. Thank god the rhinos have bailed us out this season otherwise we could have been bottom 4.

Next up season ticket sales promising another heroic season NO chance unless there is some serious changes to the club setup.

If some players knew they were not going to be with us next season then that would explain the lack of effort. We can only say 'Onwards and Upwards'. UTR.

That's not the point thousands of players playing for nowt  go out and give their best for the team and the club.I have arrived home at 3.30am on sunday morning and after about 12-13 pints on a Saturday night played with an 11.00am kick off and put a shift in.Because i enjoyed the game if we were winning easily i wasn't bothered. If losing i would be one of the better players for 80 min.RANT OVER.

Just bought the RL Express. Article after article on clubs give news of signings or potential signings. The article on Fev is about Snitch retiring and Cording not being offered a contract. Can we have some confirmation about what is happening regarding recruitment?

We've been linked with various players in RL Express and League Weekly in recent weeks. All of those rumours/potential signings have been repeated on this forum. We generally don't start announcing signings until the season is over, which is the right way to do it. There will be plenty of announcements in the next few weeks.
