My fav American series. Part of my youth has just ebbed away.

Did you ever see the film version?

I'd grown up watching the (later) TV adaptation like you, so it was odd at first to see different actors playing the familiar names, but I loved it anyway.

Same here

Loved them both. M*A*S*H made Sunday nights bearable.

Unconfirmed reports are suggesting that Natalie Cole passed away yesterday. This would be big news in the musical world.

Confirmed: http://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/music/natalie-cole-american-singer-songwriter-dies-65-n488916 :(

A new year, a new thread. Why not?

Or, conversely, why?

I don't know - just felt it was time for a new one.
