Next up Sheffield, a club with well documented financial problems. Players potentially playing for their livelihoods. A wounded beast is normally a dangerous one.Even though we've already beaten them this season I'm a little concerned about this one. They will be even more desperate for a win.Should be a belter of a game.Despite my worries about this game I'm confident of a win, even after our last game.I feel the boys will want to right a few wrongs on bank holiday Monday.

You'd hope that the events at Odsal on Sunday would galvanise the team's efforts this week.  We'll have a few players available who didn't play last time out and we're probably as much a wounded beast as Sheffield, albeit for different reasons.

Games elsewhere are just as important of course.  Halifax have seen a dip in form in the Shield games so I wouldn't be surprised to see Whitehaven turn them over, especially at home.  Workington however travel to Swinton with a bare bones squad; I'd expect the Lions to beat them.

Two points will more or less secure our Championship status.  Let's box that off with three games to go.

I hope we do indeed see a totally galvanized team on Monday. We really need them to perform on the day.If we can stay up in this division,on top of promotion of last season, the majority of the team must surely go down in roughyeds history as one of the best in recent history. The additions since the season began ie-middlehurst etc have really helped.

Bit of a strange game this coming up, Sheffield beaten in the last minute, major worries over the future of the club. We have a few injuries and are coming off the back of the battering at Bradford. Nobby and co will get a reaction from the lads, no worries about that, back on the horse doing the good things we were doing, until the wheels fell off last week and we will be ok. Tight game I fancy but one we can definitely win, with more than one reason to take two points from the game. Certainly wont be easy but I'm hoping that if other results go our way we will consolidate our Championship future sooner rather than later!

PS. Do we know if Blagbrough and Hewitt can play against their parent club?

Oh for Pete's sake I'd forgotten about that fact.  I heard on the grapevine that they are both keen to play but the same may not apply to Sheffield.

Soooooo, Lippy back to full-back, Clay back on the wing, Hughes at hooker, Owen to scrum-half and let's make a centre out of a second-rower?

Today's game was terrible the refereeing was appalling how can you send of lepori but not do the same to the Sheffield player, how could he not see the knock on that went about two yards forward from Sheffields cross field kick that resulted in a try, how could he not give benefit of the doubt when wardy touched down under the posts, every time we had a scrum near enough Sheffield were either offside or broke of early he just reset the scrum rather than giving us a penalty then we do it once and he gives a penalty.

Joe Burke had a good game today , they couldn't tackle him. Dave Hewitt kicked well under pressure after poor passes from dummy half . The outside backs played well and just about managed to hold the game together it could have been a lot worse.

Next game I think we will see Scott turner back in at full back because Lippy will probably get suspended . Kenny Hughes has to be brought back in for files, Adam didn't look up to speed with the rest of the team and our intensity and speed of play dropped when he came on.

george Tyson always seemed like a threat when he had the ball and milked a few penalties and now Sheffields money has gone it would be a very welcome sight to see him brought back.

The game today would have been very different if the referee was competent and was up to reffing a game of rugby from a neutral perspective.

Magic moment: gills interception try or gaz middle hurts hand off to George tysons head

Motm: Burke or Owen

I thought the ref was fine. People just love to moan.

Absolutely ridiculous from Lepori with the red card. Cost us the game. Will be looking at a big ban as well as he threw plenty of punches.

Poor Liam Johnson had an absolute shocker. Cost us about 5 tries on his own and he should have been hooked a lot sooner than he was. Owen, Spencer and Hewitt looked quite good and the rest tried hard but the red card killed the game for us.
