At our Fans Forum on Monday (24/10/16) I outlined the proposal for a Supporters Trust

In brief:

We aim to creat a Supporters Trust to form a new income stream for the Norht Wales Crusaders.

The Supporters Trust will sit seperately from the BoD and the Supporters Club - i.e. it is a new independant body.

We aim to recruit 300 members

Membership will cot a mimimum of £30 each, members can pay more but will only get one vote, no mater how much is paid

Membership payments will remain confidential

We aim to raise £9000 for the 2017 season

Members will select a committee of 5 Trustees form within the membership - Chari, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership Secretary

The Supporters Trust will elect 2 members to sit on the Board of Directors - so will become part-owners of the Club

The expenditure of the Trust Fund will be decided by the membership. Proposals will be forwarded, seconded by another member, and voted - a straight majority wins.

The Trust fund can be spent on anything member deem fit to support th club and will not be made available to pay historic debt unless the members vote to do this. It could be used for infrastucture ( a 'clubhouse',) or training (stewards, bar staff) to generate further income streams for the club. Any expenditure will free up the current (traditional) club income for running the club. The Trust will be  our chance to invest in the club.

All accounts will be available to members - apart from payments by individual members.

Members details will remain the resposibility of the Trust as per the Data Protection Act.

Finacial mamagement and the constitution fo the Trust will be inline with guidance fromt he Finacial Conduct Authority and Supporters Direct.

Our current position is taking e-mails for those who wish to join the trust to make a mailing list. We will then open an account and collect memberships. Once we are registered with the FCA we will hold and AGM to elect Trustees.

Trustees must face a fit and proper person test, supply a CV and a resume of their prospectus to stand as a Trustee.

Trustees will be elected or re-elected eahc year

The Trust will hold at leat 4 meeting per season.

Meetings will be open to all members and minutes distributed by e-mail

If you have any other questions please let me know.

Delegates will have the opportunity to take part in a lively Q&A session hosted by the excellent Alex Simmons, founder and presenter of Rugby AM, with a panel including of Jon Dutton from the RFL, former Cronulla Sharks Chairman Damian Irvine, former England player, dual Challenge cup winner and youngest ever Great Britain player to tour, Bobby Goulding and Brigid Power from RL Cares who will discuss the latest plans around the National Rugby League Museum.

Please pre-submit questions to the panel via email to Nicola.hudson@supporters-direct.org
